Dark Brotherhood had the best questline IMO. Wasn't a fan of the filler, but the main story components of it were good.

This definitely, something about the Thieve's Guild in Skyrim just gives it a very personal feel. Definitely one of my favourite questlines in the game as well.

So far only done the College, and that was disappointing. And the Companions don't fit with the character of my warrior. I'm thinking of making a thief today to check out the Thieves Guild, I've ehard good things about that one.

I'm not surprised that thieves and the Dark Brotherhood get lots of support on this forum.

Skyrim is the first TES game (sadly, yes, I'm old enough to have played them all) where I've had zero interest in joining any of the factions. Not sure why it happened or if it will change later after I play some more, but even becoming a member of any of these groups just leaves me cold. Done it before, why bother doing it again?

Then again, I know things are flat for me because the civil war bores me and there doesn't seem to be much different no matter what my char does or doesn't do.

In terms of quests - Dark Brotherhood.

In terms of 'the feel' - College.

Dark Brotherhood was a blast, loved it. Would have loved the thieves guild but so many bugs and i had to force complete some as they were broken. As it is, still cant complete it :(

thieves guild. im glad they didnt go down the robin hood road again like oblivion. they are a bunch of thieves are therefore are bastards, miscreants, selfish people. not the "oh lets protect the poor waterfront people" like in oblivion. in one of the quests you have to shakedown a shopowner by breaking something valuable to him. much better than having to go and steal back tax money to give back to the beggars that was just goofy.

college was the worst of all of them. after 3 dungeons and less than a week i was put in charge of the only magical college in all of skyrim, who in there right minds over at bethesda thought that made any sense whatsoever.

I'm not sure the Bard's College really belongs on that list. There's just so little involved with it that it hardly qualifies as a faction.

As for the others, I have to say, I did enjoy the DB questline, short as it was.

The college quest were kinda bland, but the stuff you get to me is to good if you use a pure mage, battle mage, or spells sword.

I thought the Thieve's guild was the best. Fun throughout. Then Dark Brotherhood, it just wasn't as long as I wanted it to be otherwise it would be first.

Thieves Guild. Most beneficial guild, strongest storyline (or so I gather, haven't finished the Mage's Guild/Companions yet but they're not on the same level) and easiest to incorporate into a role-play.

The Thieves story line was great, loved it. I thought the Mages very short, but enjoyed the mystique and lore behind it. Never cared to finish the Bard's, and Companions was, meh..

Absolutely. The other guilds don't feel like factions at all. Although the thieves guild might svck for players who don't like Daedra ...

Thieves guild for me. It still has its fair share of problems (should be renamed to Riften Mafia) but it's overall more enjoyable than the other factions.
