Bare Handed Fighting? : V

So yeah, bare fist fighting. While it's obvious that you will not have a weapon at the very beginning of the game, due to prison and all, I wondered if fist fighting would be a realistic option. I may be wrong here, but in all my Oblivion travels I came across ONE weapon for the fists, and personaly I would like it if this was more of an option.

So discuss all to do with fist fighting here, and how many times you think I will die due to being burnt by a dragon tanks to taking it on with my fists.

IF unarmed skill is still in, THEN yes I would like it to be a viable method of dispatching foes.

Not sure about killing a dragon with your bare hands though...

Fist fighting would work alright for taking down other humanoids, but it'd never be a practical option vs. large creatures.
Imagine trying to kill a rhino with your hands. It's just not going to happen. You'd have a tough time even with most weapons, but punching the thing isn't going to do anything bit anger it more and hasten your death.

I'd be disappointed in the dragons if we could kill them with fists.

Because using magic to take down a dragon is so much more believable in the real world. Its a game, it can bend the rules. It doesn't have to be realistic, it has to be believable. I bet we'll be able to fight dragons with daggers, so we better be able to take em on with our fists. Have you not seen how messed up looking daedric gauntlets look? Give some hand to hand some weapons and it's completely believable.

yay thats my thread,

but i gotta admit, i didnt even THINK about trying to tenderize a dragon with my bare hands, now im gonna.

too bad you cant import characters, or the monk im currently playing as would be ready to whoop butt the second the loading screen finishes.
