Do a barrel roll!

Whats with that is there a perk that lets me roll sideways or backwards when I'm not crouching.you would think doing a evasive manuver like that would be more combat oriented and you wouldn't have to be crouching to do it.

I don't know if it's just me, but I have tried doing barrel rolls.

They are hard.

When you say "barrel roll", is it that roll where you roll forward like a ball on the ground or that barrel roll like the ones at airplane shows where they roll 360 degrees while moving forward?

They all go forward

But I assume you're talking about that evasive maneuver like they do in kung fu films? I remember the perk is at sneaking (is it?), and I was kinda confused as to why it requires crouching too. I mean, why barrel roll when you can freaking run forward? Rolling to the sides, now that's another story

This. A barrel roll is a horizontal roll while going forward.

Actually a barrel roll is a normal forward roll. It got it's name because if you make proper form it looks as if you are inside a barrel, rolling on the ground, pushing yourself against the inside of it so you dont get slammed around.

But I agree with what you meant, while rolling forward and backwards can be mastered in 15 minutes, rolling sideways is incredibly difficulty to do. Especially quietly.
