Fallout Game Modders: They would put Chuck Norris in there, if it was canonically acceptable.

stop complaining and whining like a [censored]it would probably end up being a prototype anyway it's not like everyone would be running around with it.

and no one cares what a PC modder wants in a game because they will end up putting it in their selves or just changing it entirely.

i agree PC gamers shouldn't even share what they want in the game.just tell them to go to fallout nexus

Maybe not specifically this one but I really really desire a more powerful sniper rifle definitely.

It would be stupid, because in real life you have to use a bipod for the rifle. Ofcourse you cant program that so it would be horribly unrealistic like COD.

They put a Barrett in the first games, so the M10 would fit in just fine. Unfortunately, I think they already have their sniper rifle set. There might be room for another, but I kind of doubt it.

i feel your pain on little 10 year olds with no knowledge watsoever coming in wanting it to be like COD
i don't own modern warfare never really enjoyed it.
what i do enjoy is a vast array of arms and a barrett m107 50 caliber rifle woud be at the top of the list. It would be at the top because i have actually went out on a range and shot it and i know i would want that in fallout on a roof somewhere or in the desert.

I'm all for real world guns... as long as they fit the time-line. I would love the 50 cal to be in the game, but I just don't see it happening. It would be fun at first, but then it would start to bug me.

No real world weapons, doesn't fit the theme. A big, killy .50 sniper rifle, sure, but not a Barrett .50.

M16 was made in 62, it could fit the bill i guess, I am lore unfriendly though, in term's of weapons anyway. It make less then no sense for there to be laser weapons but a modern ballistic weapon has no place because "it was made after 1950"

Whats all this BS about the 50's!

All fallout games are set after the year 2077, the Retro 1950's feel is just the result of the things that survived the grate war and that in the 1950's when people where just learning to "duck and cover" used to think that we would have laser guns, computers that clean your home ect.

Just cos a weapon wasn't made before 1950's dosn't mean you can't have it,

The law is that it has to feel 50's not be 50's

If you could buy a bipod attachment and deploy it on the ground to have a clean shot, that would be nice.

To me there's a date after which point there should be no real world weapons. Anything after 1965 I count as not possible for being in Fallout. Anything from before 1965 but from after 1955 I count as a "maybe" gun.

Even though I don't play fallout, if this is the same barrett as in cod 6 (...and I'm pretty damn sure it is) I definitly support. After all it is a beast. Also from reading wikipedia it looks to me like it was made early 80's (82?) though I could easily be wrong on this.

that would be wrong the timeline does NOT set the lore the original games do FO1, FO2 were all the the games that set the lore for the series not some crappy timeline. the deagle was in FO1 and two so i dont see it not being part of the lore. now im going to agree i dont want fallout to become cod 4 or something but i want it to still follow the lore of FO1 and FO2. any way these guns are all BA whats so bad about them? oh and no iv never played cod :celebration:

it's one of those things where people who get it will smirk at it and then hate themselves for getting it in the first place and people who don't get it will feel all confused and think i'm a goofball, which i like to aim for a lot.

also there's a youtube video of some lady on the news talking about how they're made for shooting down planes but i couldn't find it.

everybody knows .50 BMG is a heat-seeking incendiary round designed solely to kill babies and innocent children and since you can't kill kids in New Vegas anyway there's no reason to have any guns chambered in it. QED.

Yes, those guns were in the game, and they were out of place. The timeline diverged somewhere in the 50s so any guns made after, in my opinion 1965, are out of place.

Why celebrate about not playing CoD? If you've never played, how do you know you don't like it?

Of course it's possible to put a Barrett in the game; in the Fallout universe only culture remained in the 50's, tecnology is not a problem, after all i dont think you noticed but they have robots and plasma guns. How hard can it be to build a Barrett for someone that builds plasma guns ?????????

Haven't played with the authentic one in Fallout 2, but seeing the one from Classic Fallout Weapons mod for Fallout 3 in the hands of a Super Mutant Hunter makes me wish i was in the safety of Deathclaw Sanctuary :D

I am hoping that last part was a bad joke. As for shooting down planes, if you really want to try that with a sniper rifle that 1 could do it (were are talking about something moving at +100 mph so you better bring lots of ammo), but no that's not what it was made for. Shooting long distance, and as a anti-material weapon is what it was made for. (Means every thing from helicopters to radio antenna's including bad guys).

.50 cal's do not have heat-seeking rounds.

No, she is wrong. Incendiary ammunition is a projectile designed to set fire to a target (it kind-of explodes), it doesn't actively hunt thing's that produce heat.

It's a matter of if it would have been built, not a matter of if they had the technology to build it.
