Bas Reliefs in Skyrim

Bethesda obviously took a lot of time to detail the reliefs on the walls in the Sky Haven Temple as well as the draugr tombs scattered across Skyrim.

what they do not do is explain how to read those drawings. What do the figures depicted in the tombs mean?

Which symbols are you talking about?

The whale, wolf, eagle, dragon, snake thingies you rotate around all the time? They are representations of animal avatars of the gods that the Nords used to worship. Like for instance Alduin being a dragon.

We're working on that. Sort of. Somebody asked MK, but he's keeping pretty mum about it.

....We're pretty sure the snake is Shor, though.
