Ancestor ghost ability? Or even ancestor wrath ability? A dunmer army appears and conjures up a wave of Ancestral ghosts at the opposing army. Every singel member of the army that is a Dunmer does this. Retreats. Waits a day. Does it again. Lol

If they were not abusive to their ancestors however they would summon them all and then double their number and attack at the same time. Incredibly demoralizing and it would double there numbers in one go. Kind of incredible if used on a battlefield. Not to mention most Dunmer integrate blade and magic well.

On the flipside a raging flood of expert enemy spellswords on fire, that cannot harm them, racing at you could be pretty damned scary too.

What you think?

Anyone who could beat them based on racial powers and skill bonuses?

Assume equal army size initially then add powers and skill bonuses.

If the enemy use magic or magical abilities, Bretons would be the best...absorb/resist all the enemy's powers.

Bretons with Atronach sign could conquer the Dominion if they wanted to, they can absorb every spell the Altmer cast. When the battle is over, the flag of High Rock will be flying over Alinor.

Altmer, not only are they the best at magic but they're also the best at combat thanks to Skyrim's size/damage/speed mechanics. The Thalmor really do have a point, all hail the master race :celebration:

Regeneration? Decent. svcks against fire though. How do you compensate for being outnumbered 2-1 suddenly?

Yeah...duh. You could leave out the Nirnroot as well. Mudcrabs are too OP on their own already. They are obviously excluded as any poer debate with them in it is over before it began.

Uh huh...the Altmer would need to cast soul trap and kill the ancestral ghosts. Meanwhile the Dunmer are resisting half their fireballs(big mistake there) and cutting the altmer wizards to ribbons as they are focused on soul trapping ancestral ghost that the dunmer will release after the battle anyways. Besides, Dunmer are damned good wizards as well. And they do not have weakness to elemental powers(was in more than two games so I think it is more or less correct as opposed to Skyrim lack of Altmer's weakness'.

Forget the relative power of destruction in this game, mages are the strongest class IMO. Imagine 1,000s of Altmer firing endless frenzy and clam spells, conjuring a [censored] load of their own warriors and supplementing it will massive destruction spells.

Orc, if on the offensive. Bosmer on the defense.

Nothing like a pack of raging lunatics in heavy armor with massive axes charging you faster than a Cyrodiilic troll, screaming blood and thunder.

Likewise, nothing like a pack of savage guerilla fights filling you with arrows while you can't even see them in the thick foliage of their home.

If we're going by Morrowind standard, my Altmer made it to Archmagister at level 6 thanks to insane magicka pool compared to the other races and the trusty old lightning bolt spell. Any ways, Dunmer resist fire, there's still frost, lightning, poison, paralysis, calm, frenzy, and summons...

With the current setup in the game regen is kind of sub-par. If someone made a mod where you continue to regenerate while casting spells, even with the 67% combat regeneration penalty, highborn would be incredible.

Yes agreed. Enchanting 0% magic cost pretty much renders High elves worthless as a race.

I'd say it depends on terrain and what kind of force they're fighting. Orc is a good bet in general. Breton excels if magic is in use. If there's a lot of water nearby, though, the Argonians have it hands down, since they can lay in wait forever, and retreat into it where the enemy can't follow.
