Bashed Patch Freezing

Hi,
Whenever I start the game with my bashed patch activated, the game freezes at the initial loading screen. I've tried activating my mods one by one, and they always work until I activate the bashed patch. I've also tried rebuilding the patch choosing one option at a time, but it always causes the game to freeze. Any idea as the what is causing this?

also, when running DarNified UI and LSTR, do I have to activate the LSTR esp even if I chose the 'Trollf Loading Screen' option whilst installing DarN?

Try bringing in a replacement bashed patch from Mopy\Extras.

Also, can you describe what you are doing when building the bashed patch?
And what version of Wrye Bash are you running?

also:
- what version (ie is it fully patched) of Oblivion do you have?
- does it work with just oblivion.esm & the patch (with one of the tweaks (such as the nvidia fog fix) enabled so it has some contents)

I have a fully patched Oblivion, with all of the unnofficial patches/DLC as well. I'm running Wrye Bash v.277. Also, after some tinkering I found that the Bashed Patch works if I choose nothing but the 'tweak' options (Tweak clothing, assorted, names, settings). This is still useless though, since that's really not what it's best for.

okay try disabling all mods except for oblivion, uop, dlcsi, usip and rebuild patch with all imports of those and test
also you might as well disable/delete Lynges Unlimited Death Reload Time.esp and use the tweak in the patch since that segment is working for you.

That partially worked. Using only the patches/DLC I was able to get to the main menu, but I got a CTD on trying to start a new game.

Do you have any scripts merged into your Bashed Patch? I had the same problem (savegames not loading) until I rebuilt my bashed patch without importing scripts. If so, try rebuilding your bashed patch without the scripts, and let use know the results.

Which versions of OBSE and Pluggy are you using? MMO requires v18b4 and Pluggy 128. Anything earlier could cause problems.

Try the long approach with your BP, then. Activate each option on the left, but leave the boxes for merging on the right unchecked. I know this is tedious, but try running that, and then checking boxes a few at a time, as you go. See if that helps narrow it down.

Once again, it didn't work. Even just without choosing any ESPs to import.

Well, that's gotta be frustrating. Here's a few more ideas to try:

  • Disable loading screens. Only because that's the point at which you are having freezing.
  • Make sure your MMM BSA is still named "Mart's Monster Mod.bsa"
  • Disable the MMM Slof's horses complete plugin. Or read up on it again. Is there something special to it when you're using Horse Armor as well?
  • Uninstall Bash completely and reinstall. Last resort.

Another thing that might help is if you rebuild your patch as if nothing was wrong, checking all the options you normally would. Check to make sure it causes the freeze. Then post that load order with Wrye Bash (so we can see version numbers, etc.). Right-click on the column headers in the Mods tab and choose "List Mods." Copy/paste the results here. Perhaps we'll see something we're missing right now.

You need to be running BOSS and letting it reorder your files (make sure "Lock Times" is unchecked in Wrye Bash). Then you need to rebuild the bashed patch.

Getting the load order right is very important and should be your priority.

That worked! I was running BOSS all this time, but I didn't notice that Bash was resetting the load list every time I started it. Thanks so much for the help!
