Bashed Patch undoes mod fixes?

I downloaded and tried JSawyer's mod, and just couldn't get used to it. However, there's a lot of stuff his mod does that I do like, so I've decided to implement it myself. I was just looking at the Automatic Rifle in FNVEdit, and noticed something: JSawyer sets the Automatic Rifle's Min Spread and Spread to 1.6, but my Bashed Patch turns around and undoes this, setting Min Spread back to 2.5 and Spread back to 0.6. I understand that I'm supposed to be able to use a Bashed Patch to pick and choose which mods get their effects applied, but I've seen no way to do that, as all the info I've seen online is just the actual process of rebuilding the patch. Is it possible to get the changes I want to stick with a Bashed Patch, or should I just get rid of the thing entirely? Because apparently I'm supposed to run one, but if it undoes changes to stuff I want changed, and I can't control what it changes, then what's the point?

Load Order can go along way to resolving what you want changed by a mod in what order of precedence.

You can also load mods up after the Bashed Patch if you want.

A Bashed Patch is necessary if you have more than one mod that changes the same thing in a game. Otherwise, you will have mods that either don't work at all, or do not work as intended or just cause the game to crash (usually when entering a cell that has two or more mods that are changing it.

Now, all that being said, if J Sawyer is the only overhaul mod you have, then what other mod would be changing the specs on the weapons? If it is not the only overhaul mod you have, then are you using a compatibility patch? BTW, it is better to use only one overhaul mod at a time, not try to mix them. As I said in the other thread you have.

Finally, you can use FNVEdit to custom make a Merged Patch. The only problem is, you have to configure everything manually. This is not a problem if you understand the innards of the two mods you are trying to get to work together, but a nightmare if you do not.
