No mention of Fellout? The Streetlight mods almost seem wasted without darker nights.

Well either Fellout or Dynamic Weather, not both at the same time.

I currently prefer Dynamic Weather, it's a bit more....dynamic :)

As the name implies.

I just thought that I'd give it a mention. :)

True.

Xepha's Dynamic Weather has darker nights built into it. And it's dynamic - clear night sky gives a little more light, and overcast is very dark.

Awesome suggestions guys, I'll be sure to check them out when I get this problem resolved. I would love to try to use FO3Edit, but it seems to be a little confused as to where to look for the files. I keep getting this:

Fallout is installed on the D drive, but the directory path is: D:\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data
I have no idea why it's looking for the data folder in Bethesda Softworks folder...

Also, I installed the merged patch, but I can't find the Project Beauty HD file, it seems to not exist anymore. Here's my current load order, and I still get crashes on startup:

Just curious, I dunno about the load order since I'm not good with that, but have you done the multi-core tweak?

I don't remember what had to be done but I couldn't play the game without crashing on start up without the tweak.

I have no, what do I need to change. I have a quad-core.

I grabbed this from one of the threads in the PC help section, I *think* this is what needed to be done

Sounds like you've encountered a common problem, it's to do with certain processors. The following .ini tweak should do the trick.

Open up the fallout.ini file in: My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 (it must be this one, not the one in your install directory).

Change the line:
bUseThreadedAI=0
to:
bUseThreadedAI=1

Add this line after it:
iNumHWThreads=2

Awesome thanks! I did what you had showed me, and I'm sure it will help in game, but unfortunately I still crash on startup. I really wish I could use FO3Edit.

You need to remove the project beauty compatbility patches.
Like you said yourself there is no Project Beauty (HD) anymore. See the author released a new version and renamed the esm, which causes all compatbility patches not to work anymore. You could try renaming Project Beauty.esm to Project Beauty HD version.esm, but I dont know what else has changed, so this might or might not work. I've also already removed every single Project Beauty patch from the FOIP patch for the time being.

Remember, crash on start up almost always means you dont have all necessary masters loaded.

Oh snap! I removed all compatibility patches for Project Beauty HD, and I can start up now! But I'm now worried, will Project Beauty Now not be compatible with MMM, and FWE? That would be a shame...

Just load the Project Beauty mod before all other mods and you will be fine. Not to mention in my eyes Project Beauty is not a mod that is really necessary anyhows.

Cool it works! I agree with Kai though, I didn't bother with PB since I didn't find it really worth the while. I think the type3 body replacer I used changed the female NPC's faces so they didn't look so ugly, so I'm fine with that.

Awesome! Well I like Project Beauty because it makes things uglier really, more realistic. I'm not really into the whole "beauty" thing, making things look prettier, especially not in a game like this. Since this is working now, I can start my tests!!

Hmmm, you might like http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11040 then. I haven't tried it out yet, so I dunno how good it really is.

That would be win, my mods are based around FWE. I always thought it was a brilliant project, and is totally a must have in all of my installs.

The Longplay will be subscriber interactive too. I'm going to let my subscribers help me make choices. Every four or five videos or so I'm going to post a video asking subscribers to make suggestions, and I will pick one at random to do. Should be very interesting!

Cool, I should subscribe then. So many times I've found myself yelling at my monitor trying to tell you what to do :laugh:

Are you still looking for mod suggestions at this point, in case I or anyone else finds something? After all, it's fan interactive :P

I'll be asking for MODing suggestions right before the first gameplay video goes up, that will be the next video. Should go up tomorrow or the day after (Gota let my intro be viewed first =P)

Gotcha, then since most of the actual immersion mods are listed, how about clothes?

http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5424 adds a bunch of "add on" armors of sorts. http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/oo232/71boss351/fallout3/ScreenShot134.jpg, the shoulder pad with the shotgun shells and the belt are an add-on to my duster. Adds some extra DR and some skill boosts, but mostly looks cool. I'd say it's on the verge of immersion, as someone scrounging the wastes wouldn't refuse to make his/her clothing stronger or more useful.
