What?!?!? A bastard sword is a sword that is inbetween a great sword and a longsword in size

Not quite. We aren't talking fantastic, huge weapons here. It is a real sword, a type of longsword if I remember correctly. Usually a 2 hander, or a hand and a half sword. http://www.valleymartialarts.com/images/sh2250.jpg

If someone wants the Buster Sword, wait for a mod. I have a real one so I don't care lol.

If they are used in about the same way as in Mount & Blade, it would be awesome.
But you should not be able to dual-wield bastard swords.

They're pretty prominent in FF.

The bastard sword was my favourite weapon in Mount & Blade! I used it two-handed for single enemies or with a shield when against multiple foes, great versatility.

I love Mount and Blade. I was surprised at how much fun it is.

Just read the IGN review. They gave it an 8, but said the production value is really lackluster and "a decade behind."

It's kinda like Pirates! Except with knights and such. Try the demo.

Not in the Elder Scrolls way. A completely different sort of game (and not as huge of a game, content wise, compared to the TES ones). But it's open in the sense that you can do whatever you want in it.
Most important feature of it is the combat system that feels so much better than any other games', despite its flaws.

As for bastard swords, well, they're not high priority for me as they don't quite fit the nordic theme, but they could be available anyhow as weapons from the other provinces.

Just try the Demo instead of reading silly reviews. Of course it's an indie title built by a handful of guys and technically not on-par with titles developed by multi-million-dollar companies.

That's not a very good description. Also called a hand-and-a-half sword, it's a sword that can be used with one or two hands. It's balanced and light enough for one, but the hilt is designed so it can also be used with two. Typically, they also have a long tapering blade. It's a very versatile. It's doubtful that the combat system would be complex enough to really take advantage of it, though.

That's cause it was literally made by like a husband and wife in their spare time. It is phenomenal despite the graphical shortcomings and obviously low production value.

No. Might as well ask for every weapon on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Types_of_swords while we're at it.

You're clearly not understanding my sarcasm. A bastard sword is as insignificant to TES as every other weapon on that list.

For the same reasons I don't want a medium armor skill, I don't want bastard swords.
