The modded robes that were actually whole or the ones that showed at least 90% of your body?

Since seeing that early concept art of the greybeards, I'm pretty confident they will be better.

Surly it's not a robe if it only covers 10% of ur body, those are socks ur thinking of.

No, it's a bikini. Head does not count as "body" per se so hoods don't improve the score

if you have armored robe there's no point in wearing robe at all, get a plate mail instead. Personally, I think the robes in OB is pretty good. They certainly fit the need.

Although I DO have to say they look more like a bunch of expensive clothings than magical robes

What mods?
Concerning clothes/robes/armor...
All I remember is seeing things that couldn't really count as clothes/armor/robes, but rather an excuse to show off genetalia and boobs. I hope you're not thinking about those mods.

I agree, Oblivion's robes were not very attractive or wizard like, they looked like thick coats to me.

I'd love to see some thin silky robes this time around, and when I say thin I mean fabric wise, not as in revealing.

The first one looks like a simple texture change, the last two however, are more unique and I agree they're infinitely better than OB's stock robes.

But I can't imagine them being sold for public, those most be special orders

However, the idea does stand. The robes in OB are nothing different except in textures. Some unique shapes and pattern every so often would be great

Well, yeah, those were nice.
But I don't remember the Oblivion robes being as bad as you say though. Definitely not all.

For instance, this is really nice:

Even now after all this years i still consider CanadianIce robe replacers for Morrowind the best robes in TES ( http://canadianice.moddersrealm.com/RobeReplacer.html ),was such an improvement over the original ones, and nothing skimpy or skin revealing about them.

I really like the second one. It's not meant to be a mage's robe, you know right?
It's just an upper-class robe.

@neocoolzero: yeah a lot of her robes are good.

I agree. Some variation in robes, furry, wooly, armored etc. Robes can also boost magic and resist frost.

I'm probably the only person alive that loved the vanilla White Wizard's Robe. With a modded cloak and white hood and some white mage shoes, it was the perfect aesthetic irony for my necromancer/assassin.

There's a world of difference between a suit of platemail and a robe with a chestpiece and some arm/leg protection.

I think that they should have robes and cloaks, the robes should be redesigned so they aren't so bland. They should also physique the robes, I hated how in OB and MW that when your hands were down your wrist was in the middle of the sleeve and when you raised your hand it was still in the middle of the sleeve.

The look of robes will be helped immensely if they no longer have the elastic, stuck-to-your-knees cloth non-physics of OB.
