The suit looks really good, but the cowl looks freakishly large. Do you intend do keep it that big?

Thanks Ghogiel :)
I tried using Blender for making the normal maps with that technique that involves using a high resolution mesh and a low resolution one, but those normal maps looked really awful in game (I guess I need more practice). After that failure, I have gone back to what I know that works and I am making them in GIMP.

Hi Antibody,

Fallout heads have a large front, but I think that what happens here is the combined effect of two things: the pose and angle of the camera, and that the character I am using to test it has a long face.
I've taken some pictures without using any pose, with the camera at the level of the character's eyes and with three different characters to show you the difference:

Character 1 (the same that appears in my previous pictures):

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d122/AsharaStark/BatcowlBorja2.jpg

Character 2 (another of my characters, who has a rounder face):
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d122/AsharaStark/BatcowlRodrigo2.jpg

Character 3 (Vanilla preset #1, who has an even rounder face):

I've made it and conformulated it to fit young male's heads. I don't think it will look good on females, as it is.

Thanks again, Ghogiel :)

Oh, that is friggin' awesome. Now I can run around and say, "I'm Batman!".

Can you make a Robin Suit? I'd like to have Jericho in a Robin suit...or maybe Batgirl....

It looks awesome, seriously. :D
Just a few things/questions:

  • The mask is a lighter shade than the outfit. Maybe the outfit could be darker to match the mask, or the other way around.
  • What will be the enchantment when wearing this? I'd say: +10 sneak, +10 damage resistance, +1 agility. :)
  • Will the belt be optional? The outfit looks great, but playing something too non-canon is not in my tastes very much. :P

That's all. Good luck, hope the final stages go well for you.

Thanks, Foxtrot :)

Just a few things/questions:

  • The mask is a lighter shade than the outfit. Maybe the outfit could be darker to match the mask, or the other way around.

I took the pictures when the texture of the cowl was finished but the texture of the suit wasn't. I am now working on the texture of the suit. :)

  • What will be the enchantment when wearing this? I'd say: +10 sneak, +10 damage resistance, +1 agility. :)

Thanks for the input :)
My first ideas on what the bonus could be were these ones:
* armour: speed (or maybe agility and/or strength?), unarmed (or strength?), sneak and damage resistance
* cowl: perception and sonar vision (which would actually be only a kind of night vision as it is impossible to make you see through walls)
So I see you and I have similar ideas on them :) Don't you think your values are a little low for the Batsuit? I was thinking of giving it the values of Power armour for damage resistance and at least +15 sneak like the chinese stealth armour.

  • Will the belt be optional? The outfit looks great, but playing something too non-canon is not in my tastes very much. :P

I am going to release it into five pieces:
* Suit (including boots, outfit and gloves): upperbody slot
* Belt: bodyaddon 1 slot
* Cape: bodyaddon 2 slot
* Full suit (including all the components except the cowl): upperbody slot
* Cowl: hair, hat and headband slots

That's all. Good luck, hope the final stages go well for you.

Thanks. I hope so :)

Glad you took our suggestions about the seperate body accessories, I believe your mod will find a wider audience that way. Looking forward to being the gosh darned batman.

Well anyone who makes high quality armors for Fallout 3 deserves a little praise, there's just so few people working on good armors for this game you have to make sure the people making the really good ones know it and encourage them to release it.

You'd be one of the good ones. Can't wait to use it.
