Batman vs Superman, you excited for it?

Post » Sat Mar 05, 2016 4:24 am

First of, here is a clip of a "deleted scene" for BvsS.

So are you excited for it? I forgot it comes out in a few weeks. Guess I couldn't wait that just like Star Wars, I tried to forget it so it came faster. I have some misgivings for it. I think trying to put too many people it, someone is going to get lost especially when it's just Bats vs Supes. I believe Wonder Woman plays a part, (small or big not sure) and Aquaman is suppose to be in it as well, so not sure how cool that will with .

Can't wait to see it now. Going in with low expectations so I really can't be disappointed like I was with Force Awakens.

No. Too much going on. If it was just Batman and Superman vs *insert villain* sure. but we got Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Lex, Doomsday, and Cyborg and Flash are rumored.

Oh and Darkside

Definitely looking forward to it. I was not even aware of the other heroes being involved until recently. If done right it could be one devastating smash of a superhero war movie.

No.

The last good Superman and Batman movies were back in the 80's

Besides there has been way too many super hero movies in the past 16 years and it seems that it is increasing each year.

No. No. No. I am so sick of comic book movies I could vomit. It's beginning to seem like every damn big budget movie coming out of Hollywood these days is based on comic books. Doesn't Hollywood have any original ideas anymore? And some of these comic book movies are just rebooting earlier reboots of remakes of movies that have already been based on comic books. So no, I am not excited for Batman versus Superman. The title alone makes me want to weep.

It hasn't had an original idea in decades, hence the endless waves of comic book movies. And crap adaptations of crap young advlt books.

As for the topic. No I don't care about the movie. I enjoy the animated movies but not the live action stuff.

Not really. I can't help but to feel this whole DC cinematic universe they're trying to build up is all rather rushed, in trying to shove in as many characters as possible to play catch up with Marvel. To the point of which they would just spoil whose in it in the trailers just to tell us "Look at all the characters! LOOK AT THEM!".

But honestly, I never really had an interest in either of these attempts to make one big cinematic universe out of these comics from either Marvel or DC. Only modern super hero films I've ever truly enjoyed being Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and the original Spider-Man trilogy (the first two anyway), which aren't connect to either universes anyway.

Not initially. Maybe it'll be good.

Definitely not watching the new X-Men though.

Not really. More meh, then anything. I feel like they're trying too hard to compete with Avengers and are cramping as many heroes into this as possible when they should have each had their own origins first. Batman V Superman, if it were just them would have been fine but I feel they are going to overdo it. The only thing I'm really anticipating is Rogue One later this year.

well if it follows the comic fairly close, it should be pretty good. The comic did set the confrontation up pretty well, and believable how the different forces worked. I haven't followed if the movie will be radically different or not. not a fan of Affleck though.

I'm actually surprised they haven't made the death of superman a movie yet.

I find it funny people saying Hollywood is unoriginal -- if anything, the audience is unoriginal as they flock to these franchise movies rather than the new movies that happen to be made but rarely profitable.

No, especially with Henry Cavill as Superman (no offence intended). Had they chosen Brandon Routh, maybe I would've been interested.

I had high hopes for it but both my favorite reviewers gave it their lowest rating. So I'm going to Redbox it.

Hollywood hasn't run out of ideas. I've been hearing that for years. Superman vs. Batman is going to be awesome -- the classic duel between two of the greatest superheroes ever. How is that a bad thing? I don't expect it to be thoroughly deep or mentally rewarding, but it's going to be fun nonetheless.

I'm leaning towards feeling this way, especially knowing BvS is basically a prologue to the upcoming Justice League movie. :/

I'm not excited for it, but I'm gonna see it because it's been a while since I've seen Ben act in a big role, and Henry "The Superman" Cavall, can't miss him.

not really.. I have never been much of a superhero comic guy (other types of comics sure, just not superhero.. i was more a fan of say, the X-Files comics)..

and while i may get flack for this Superman himself is an extremely boring character.. he is essentially a god, mr perfect, does everything "just to be the good guy", and is perfectly nice to everyone he meets.. at least Marvel comics characters have character flaws, even if they are oddly absurd flaws most of the time..

Superheroes have just never been my thing..

looking at CBC news this morning.. now everything makes sense :P

That's actually the main point of Batman V Superman, hahaha! Superman, the false god. at least if the comics are any indication, this movie gives superman his flaws.

The 2 part animated movie likely did a better job then this movie. I think they were called the Dark Knight Returns iirc...saw them on HBO not long ago. Without spoiling too much, it had the Batman vs. Superman showdown but Batman was older and fresh out of retirement.

No, superheroes not my thing

Overused superheroes that they long since ran out of ideas for even less so

Now if they were to do a film based on http://www.bryan-talbot.com/arkwright/ I'd watch it (and probably complain about every tiny deviation from the original :D)
