I've always been asked myself this question and I cant figure it out if the Mutants mistake a two-headed bear (NCR) for a brahmin hence calling them "Battle Cattle"
or calling The Legion "Battle Cattle" Since their emblem is a Bull, OR they could be calling the Deathclaws near Quarry Junction
"Battle Cattle" due to their horns and eyes resembling a cattle and are very aggressive to all species.

Do you guys know what they are referring to? :confused:

"Battle Cattle" either refers to the Legion flag bearing a bull, or to the belligerent nature of wild bighorners. It's surmised that Rhonda may have been smashed up by an angry bighorner.

"Be aware of the Battle Cattle, but do not fear the Battle Cattle!" I do not think it be Bighorners since they are far away and only take a couple shots to kill.
Since it seems Mutants run away from it, it could be 2 things, The Legions menacing presences sneaking into NCR territory or the Death Claws right outside Black Mountains gates.
Super Muties arnt' known to run away from a fight, but are very likely approach one.

Battle Cattle is brahmins, not Legion, NCR or bighorners.

Two-headed bear people = NCR
Battle Cattle = Caesar's Legion

Thats what I have them marked as

I always figured it as two-headed brahmin could see through the stealth field of the nightkin, or at least see something was there. So they turn to look at the Nightkin with four eyes, which NK don't like.
Or maybe an NCR caravan pulled by Brahmin attacked her once.

But then again Supreme Commander Tabitha is most certainly NOT CRAZY!

Yeah, this. You know the quest in Novac with the Nightkin and brahmin? I've always assumed because of that maybe Tabitha gave her people an irrational sense of hatred and fear for battle cattle.

At first I assumed it was the Legion, but that doesn't account for the "Two head bear people astride battle cattle" quote. Unless Tabitha was trying to be symbolic or something....

They're probably brahmins. I think theres a short unmarked quest concerning a crazy nightkin that was paranoid about Brahmins.

No-bark has to be one of the best npcs I died laughing when he described the chupacabra with a automatic weapon.

hmmmm....I thought that Tabitha meant that they were both equally threatening to her mutants. Both NCR and Legion would kill them, so it would seem that although both groups are against each other, they're also against super mutants.
