1 handed hammers? I doubt we'd see them. But you could easily mod one in.

The hammers in oblivion looked [censored] dumb. Id really like to see one handed hammers in Skyrim, so that i could duel wield with magic.

The LOTR reference can be found on the "Macabre Manifest" from that quest involving Thoronir and Agarmir (google: Oford Gabings). As for the Pokemon references, there are places that you'll eventually visit which referencing some Pokemon names: "Marowak's Spine," "Weepingbell Hall" and "Kakuna Burial".

The Imperial City quest Unfriendly Competition involves the Macabre Manifest, a catalog of those recently perished. One of its entries concerns an "Oford Gabings", an anagram of Frodo Baggins, and lists several items that Frodo carried during The Lord of the Rings saga, including a "travel cloak with silver and green leaf fastener", an "enchanted shortsword with inlaid writing", a "leather bound travel journal", and a "gold ring with inscription (cursed?)".

In Mudan Grotto there's a skeleton called 'Peke Utchoo', which sounds quite similar to the Pokémon Pikachu. Whoever put the skeleton in also included a note that reads, "If anyone shall ever find me, I hope I am able to bring them to laughter." The note was probably put in to make sure that the player realizes that the skeleton is meant to be a joke.

Encountered during the Main Quest, there are a few locations which reference Pokémon in their names. In Ilunibi, there's a section called Marowak's Spine. In Arkngthand, there's a Weepingbell Hall. In the Urshilaku Burial Caverns, there is a section called Kakuna Burial.

Also a pretty obvious indiana jones reference in Morrowind.

They had that in Morrowind. It had a flame enchantment, if I remember correctly.

prefered a weapon shield or just a one handed weapon deal.

for that matter, never cared to much for maces either or greatweapons all together.

and why not, we have waraxes and battle axes

and so far we have warhammers but no battlehammers.

we could make a giant warclub to go with the mace.

That is something I haven't thought of, One Handed Hammer type weapons. We do have the Warhammer although that weapons pretty useless due to the weight and the fact that a Battleaxe or mace is better. Beth hasn't revealed everything so who knows it could be in for all we know.

With the change in setting, and hopefully a more diverse selection of weapons, I think the inclusion of battlehammers is possible.

So were talking about this good stuff...i wouldnt mind a hammer one could throw and have it return to you...MOD IDEAS

Also morrowind had a GOOD AMOUNT of battlehammers dont remember oblivions selection though.

Sunder though was the only one handed hammer in that game.(not to mention it was an artifact)

It would be great if Bethesda had maces, clubs and hammers in both the 1- and 2-handed weaponry. I love hammers, but with the new setup I will use 1-handed blunt and magic so I hope we can have 1-handed hammers. Equal diversity in blades and axes of course.
