Hi,

I've just re-installed Fallout 3 and have hit a bug that I haven't seen before. The battle music doesn't come on when I get into a fight. I've tried turning off all mods, but the problem continues.

Any suggestions?

I've tried re-installing it AGAIN, and played in vanilla form, both without and with the 1.7 patch. But the battle music still refuses to start when I get into a fight.

All the other music - Intro screen, ordinary background music and death music - all work fine, but the battle music just won't start up.

Please can some kind and knowledgeable soul offer a fix? The game is strangely dead without combat music.

I have the same problem, it just refuses to come on.

wtf why was this ignored? I'm facing the same problem now.

I'm having this problem as well, highly annoying considering I have custom music I'd like to use.



I have Oblivion and it uses the same engine and I've had -NO- problems with that game.

How can this be so screwed up?

I'm also having this issue, same as Burnov I've used custom music in Oblivion and also in Fallout 3.

Then all of a sudden the battle music just stopped functioning (Fallout not Oblivion), I can't find a mod that is causing the issue and also cannot counter it with an esp that repaths the file for it.

What I get currently is either explore or dungeon tracks uninterrupted, and while this may be paradise for a lot of ppl it is not for me and apparently not for anyone here asking help and not getting any answer at all.

Also my Specials will not use custom ExitTheVault nor Success which also worked earlier, however the title replacement still works so I have no idea.

Not trying to be rude or anything if I sound a bit offensive, but can someone please find an answer to this or at least state a technical reason why not?
