Welcome all this is mine and Lady Syl's Shivering Isles RP.

Background: This was written by Lady Syl
Spoiler
The Duke of Mania and the Duchess of Dementia are secret lovers. They’re always having petty disagreements that get way overblown, but this time they take their disagreement to another level by ordering their armies to fight each other at the ruins of Cylarne.
Though Syl causes plenty of the problems in her relationship with Thadon, this time it is Thadon’s fault—at least, that’s how Syl perceives it. Thadon, of course, blames Syl for the issue. Here is what happened:

Thadon went to see Syl in her private quarters late one night, after they had retired from their respective courts. But when Thadon arrived, he found Syl pacing her bedchamber, on edge....

“Buttercup, what is troubling you?” Thadon asked.

Syl stopped pacing and looked at him with fire in her eyes. “You’re late. And how many times do I have to tell you not to call me Buttercup?”

“Sorry,” he replied, not at all phased by her irritable mood. “There was an issue with the water supply—a dead rat was found floating in the water, and--.”

“You are late because of a rat in your water?” she asked, growing ever more furious. “What kind of pathetic excuse is that? While you were off playing ‘Bobbing for Rats’, I was nearly murdered by the chef!”

“Oh my,” said Thadon, suddenly understanding why Syl was so distraught. “Why, Beloved, what happened? I had no idea!”

“There was chocolate in my custard!” Syl shrieked, trembling.

Thadon looked at her, somewhat bemused, and he took her by the shoulders, and said, “Syl, now I’m sure it was a simple mistake…”

“You know I am allergic to chocolate!” she cried. “I could have died, if Anya hadn’t tasted it when she tested my meal for poison! Thadon, you know how serious this is. How can you brush it off as if it was nothing?”

“It’s not that, my sweet,” he said, stroking her cheek. “It is serious. I am quite relieved that your courtier noticed it before you took a bite. But do you really believe the chef meant to put the chocolate in your custard? That just seems like an awfully silly way to assassinate someone, don’t you think?”

“Silly? How can you call any of this ‘silly’? Thadon, my life was put in jeopardy because of this ‘silly accident’, as you would call it! It is the perfect way to kill someone, when you know they are deathly allergic to something! He knew better than anyone—he’s been my chef for many years, and he was told about my allergy from the beginning! This was no accident!”

“Please, Syl, calm down. All is well. Disaster has been averted.”

He placed a calming touch on her shoulders and she relaxed a little, leaning back on him.

“I’m sorry, Thadon. You just don’t understand what it’s like to have so many people always trying to murder you! Who is to say what they’ll do next? What if next time I am not so lucky?”

“Seriously, Syl, I’m sure that the man was not trying to murder you. Do you really believe that everyone you come in contact with wants you dead?”

“Yes! Don’t you understand? Anyone could be one of them! There is no way of knowing for sure! I can’t take any unnecessary risks—everyone is suspect!”

“Even me?” he asked, to which Syl was stunned. Her mouth dropped open slightly, and she looked at him tenderly, but with tears in her eyes which betrayed her fear.

“Thadon, you know that I trust you, more than I’ve ever trusted another. How can you even think such a thing?”

She closed her eyes as Thadon pulled her close to kiss her. But in the middle of the kiss, Syl stopped and pushed him back to look at his face. “What’s wrong, darling?” he asked, baffled.

“You’ve been drinking felldew again, haven’t you?” she demanded, looking at him with scorn.

“I…may have had a tiny helping,” he replied hesitantly, “to relax after holding court all day. Syl, it’s really not a big deal.”

Syl pounded her fists upon his chest and pulled herself away from him, shouting, “You lied to me! You promised me you wouldn’t take felldew anymore!”

“Syl, you’re being ridiculous! What I do in my spare time is none of your concern! If I am not doing it in front of you, then why does it matter?”

“Because you promised!” she screamed, hitting him again. “You lying, cheating, bastard!”

“Damn it, Syl, that’s enough!” he cried, grabbing her wrists to stop her from hitting him. He shoved her back against the wall, but she spit in his eye, hoping he would release her. But instead he slapped her across the face, so she shoved her knee into his manhood so that he couldn’t hold her against the wall anymore. Thadon yelled from the pain as he let go of her wrists as he bent over, moaning in agony.

Instead of walking away, though, Syl began beating on him again in a fit of rage, yelling and screaming until he finally managed to push her off him, shouting, “That’s enough! If you are going to fly off the handle just because I have a hobby that doesn’t involve torture and blood-shed, then I am leaving! I’ve had enough of your controlling and selfish ways!”

“Fine, then get out!” she shouted after him, though he was already walking away. “I hope you and your precious felldew live happily ever after together!”

When she heard the door slam shut, she let out a cry of frustration and picked up a half-drunk bottle of wine just to throw it across the room….

Approved Characters Sheets

Mazken
Lady Syl
Spoiler
Name: Nadezhda (pronounced nah-DYEHZ-dah)
Gender: Female
Age: Infinite, but she’s been in her current incarnation for 52 years.
Race: Mazken

Skills – 10 max – non game skills allowed: Blunt, Blade, Block, Marksman, Hand-to-Hand, Athletics, Hunting, Cooking…

General Appearance: Tall, athletically built, she has the appearance of an Amazon warrior. Though she is respectively 52, she looks more like she’s 30, and she always has. Her skin, like all Mazken, is a smooth indigo, while her eyes are a soft blue, like the rain. Her hair is long and black, and she wears it in small braids wrapped on top of her head in an elegant fashion.

Weapons: Traditional obsidian longsword of the Dark Seducers, dark bow, shield, and a quiver of arrows.

Armour/Clothing: classic Dark Seducer armor. She wears nothing else, even to sleep, because she feels it is a necessary part of her discipline as a warrior, and also because she never wants to be caught off-guard.

Other Items: Cooking and hunting supplies, repair hammers, food & spices, paper, quills and ink...

Personality: Warm and friendly, but duty bound to serve the Madgod and Dementia’s ruler without question. She is especially devoted to Lady Syl, however, so she serves with much zeal. Though she will be a friend to anyone, she certainly believes in the superiority of the Mazken over all of creation, and she has a deep hatred for the Aureals.

Nadezhda is rather dark in her tastes and emotions, despite her otherwise friendly nature. If someone crosses her, they learn the hard way that she will not tolerate insubordinate behavior of any kind. Questioning her motives or battle plans will be met with a hard slap across the face and whatever punishment she feels like doling out at the time. She is very hard on those who serve under her, but when there is down time, she will talk to them and treat them like equals.

Brief History: Like all Daedra, she has never known a childhood, nor will she know old-age. Death is merely a pause in the never-ending cycle of her existence. From the moment of her creation, she has been in the service of Lord Sheogorath and His reigning Duke or Duchess of Dementia.

Before Lady Syl rose to the rank of Duchess, Nadezhda served the former Duke, Lady Syl’s father, and she was often assigned as a bodyguard for the adolescent and often unruly Syl. Nadezhda developed some friendly affection for the young wood elf over the years, and was responsible for helping Syl with something that was of great importance to her. Because of this service, when Syl rose to power, she promoted Nadezhda and offered her assignment as the head of one of the most prominent regiments in Dementia’s army. This was a great honor to Nadezhda, and she accepted graciously.

Aureal
Captainrex

Weapons: Golden Longsword, Golden Saint Shield, Golden Bow and a quiver of Corroded Golden Arrows.

Other Items: A golden amulet.
Personality: Staada is a very quiet person, she isn't one for jokes and takes her role seriously. She despises all mortals and hates with a passion all Mazken. She would rather use her warriors carefully the males on the other hand she doesn't care about.

Brief History: Staada was elected to be the leader of the Golden Saint army many years ago during the reign of the Duke before Thadon. She still serves with pride and every day wants to prove to Lord Sheogorath that the Aureal are the superior warriors.

She despises mortals in particular Thadon the current Duke of Mania. Recently he has ordered her to take a band of Saints to Cylarne. She obeys although she would rather strangle him.
