Battlechess

Who here is a big Battlechess fan?

I remember playing it for the first time in the mid 90s and thought it was the greatest computer game ever. Still stands the test of time for me! Dr. Gillian Taylor: Sure you won't change your mind?
Spock: Is there something wrong with the one I have?

Although I won't call it the greatest game, it was the reason why I wanted an Amiga 2000. The moment I saw the curtain (loading screen) on my friends computer, I became a graphic wh*re. I was used to the VCS 2600 and then I saw *this*. Well, sooner or later you find out that nice graphics is not everything (e.g. Dragon's Lair), but it takes a while ;).
However, I still remember the "CLINK-CLONK" when the sprites where moving and the animations where very well done. Good job guys :) (in case there is still someone left from the old crew)

I have a CD of Battlechess Enhanced that I think I got in 1993. I'd love to be able to let my grandkids use it, but I can't seem to make it work, even on my nephew's old System 7.5 Mac. Maybe the CD is corrupted, although it looks pristine. I wonder if the "lifetime guarantee" is still good? Or the "system upgrade policy"?
