So what are you actually saying? That you can't kill them while they can kill you? That sounds more like an issue to do with the player(s) rather then the game.

It's difficult to explain, honestly. Best example of that I can use is one in my last game. I turned a corner, saw a guy at point blank and started shooting him, hitting him mind you. The next thing I know he starts shooting AFTER I started hitting him and yet he still killed me before I could kill him. I didn't notice any lag. He was using the XM8 and I the M1A1.

This was on the 360 version.

Try a more powerful gun. That's all I can tell you. It also matters where you hit them as much as how much.

Also i gotta say, i generally don't enjoy warfare shooters. I resent COD to be honest, but DICE actually did this game right. It is a lot of fun. The variety in soldiers and vehicles is great and gives you a lot to choose from. I have started off as a Engineer and that was cool, now i got that maxed out and i am trying assault and sniper. I still think the engineer class is my favorite though. This is the first competitive multiplayer game i actually enjoy. I tried Halo, GOW, and COD they just don't cut it for me though. Plus i feel like the players in BC2 are more mature than the general crowds found in Halo and COD.

The M1A1 is generally regarded as the worst gun in Bad Company all around, so you'll probably want to use something else. Also, the hit registration can be a bit wonky at times so you may have just had a few bad experiences with bullets not doing damage even if they should. If you're not level 14 or 15 (I forget) you don't have magnum ammo yet, which is why most other people seem to be able to kill you faster. Try using ceramic armor until you get magnum ammo.

The only downfall is that this game makes me want to punch babies when flying solo, because of two things.
1) My team doesn't normally know what they are doing.
2) My team can't hear me yelling at them to defuse the [censored] bombs :P

That's why you need a squad of people that you know and actually talk. I don't play BC2 otherwise.

On a completely unrelated note; I haven't played BC2 in some time.

That would explain it. I'll try this out and see how it works, thanks. :)

Does anyone know if you can stay scoped with a sniper rifle while reloading? I thought I saw a tip that said you could, but it could have been Battlefield 2.

You can hold down the mouse button after firing to stay scoped, but not while reloading.

Alright, guess I misread then. If the M24 (the first sniper rifle if I recall right) wasn't the most lethal I wouldd switch to one of the others that has more rounds before reloading.

Define "lethal". If you're going by the damage from the in game damage bars, it's wrong. http://denkirson.xanga.com/722757523/bad-company-2/ are the true stats for the guns which show all bolt snipers have the same damage. I prefer to use the SV98 because it's got a 10 round clip, and shoots the fastest. The GOL is nice too, but it's pretty much even with the M24.

Has anyone actually heard 'Ride of the Valkyries' while flying a helicopter? I've been waiting around for it to come on, but it hasn't yet. I just want to fly around sounding awesome... :sadvaultboy:

I heard it from someone elses tank today, I think. It was before I edited my settings.ini to increase the volume though, so idk.

BTW, if you haven't already, go to the settings.ini and put the music volume to around 2 or 3, it lets you hear music from much further away, and stops the engne noises from drowning it out.

There is so much flaming going on over this at the EA boards. Personally, I'm just happy to see something positive related to PC gaming compared to all this PC gaming death stuff everywhere. Gives me hope that DICE will make better considerations for the multiplatform Battlefield 3 currently in production.

So is the Vietnam DLC worth buying? Does it add that much more to the game?

I'd say so, Vietnam feels completely different to vanilla, much faster paced, and vehicles are much stronger. There are a few problems with the maps being too small, and some odd balance issues (like tanks absolutely dominating helicopters), but I'd say its definitely worth it.

Yes. If you are a fan of BC2 you will love the Vietnam expansion too.

I wouldn't say vehicles are any stronger. Tanks seem pretty much the same to me as they were in vanilla BC2, and Hueys are seriously weak and pathetic. The PBRs are pretty brutal though.
