Battlefield: Bad Company 2 : Othor Games

I decided to play some conquest in Vietnam today and surprisingly found it far more enjoyable than rush. In regular BC2 I always play rush, but the maps in Vietnam seem to be much better suited to conquest. Also, the shotgun is beastly, I decided to use it just to work towards getting the silver/gold stars and found it to be extremely effective. I'll probably use it quite a bit from now on.

I find that more people seem to know what they're doing in conquest, rather than just me and my squad being the only people to arm/disarm bombs.

Shotgun + Slugs + Mag Ammo + headshots = Everyone you kill calling you a hacker.
I love the 870 shotgun, , its a toss up between that and the flamethrower for the best "Screw this, I'm just going to pretend to be a badass for the rest of the game" weapon.

I have some sort of aura that get's my squad working together. They are a shambling mess, but goddammit when they see me planting the bomb no less then 4 times and failing they must feel some sort of pity. They usually start working as a coherent whole after that. One game it was two of my team in a tank [censored] the base, and the other two just repairing it. Needless to say we got called out on hacking. I can't help it if our teamwork trumps your whole team. The only thing we had to worry about was the occasional sniper trying to flank or mortar barrage. Later we even initiated mission steal all of their vehicles. It was a resounding success, and oh boy nothing says you svck like base [censored] from two enemy tanks and two of your own.

Still have the uncommon round where I run around being someones target fodder though. God those are annoying rounds where you seem to die before you can do anything.

I use similiar tactics. I also use operation drive around the map in a SUV distracting enemy tanks. God people on that game must hate me sometimes.

This is really pissing me off...my screen randomly flashes a blank black screen and sometimes even stays like that for a couple seconds. Has gotten me killed countless times and it only happens with BC2.

Anyone had this??

My screen turned black the other night while we were playign and had random colored polygons all over it and I could not even access the task manager. I would say double check your video drivers ands ee, and then failing that resolution/refresh rate and VSync options.

I just got the Vietnam expansion for $5 and played a few rounds, I absolutely love it! This whole expansion is soaked with that Vietnam feeling, it's great. So far I've only played two maps, but I liked both of them. Also, it looks like the PC community has already unlocked the Operation Hastings map, while Xbox and PS3 are barely half way there.

I had to do a bit of legwork to get 10$ off from the EA store, as you can see http://forums.redflagdeals.com/ea-store-bfbc2-vietnam-5-mirrors-edge-simcity4-specact-free-985552/?prefixid=Games9. With that, I was also able to get Mirror's Edge and Sim City 4 for free.

I STILL don't understand how people actually enjoy this game. I swear half the time it's like I'm throwing sand at them while enemies throw shards of glass. :facepalm:

So what are you actually saying? That you can't kill them while they can kill you? That sounds more like an issue to do with the player(s) rather then the game.
