As of now, the FPS world is revolving around Call of Duty: Black Ops. My friends list on Xbox live consists of nearly all friends playing Black Ops. Now Black Ops is a good game in it's own right, but I have found myself reverting back to BF: BC2. With Map Pack 7 out, adding 4 new maps: Harvest Day, Oasis, Heavy Metal, and Cold War. Harvest Day and Oasis are both maps from the original Bad Company. Both are excellent and extremely fun to play. Heavy Metal and Cold War are both new, being community chosen maps from the campaign. Heavy Metal offers large, open, gameplay. Lots of aircraft, tanks, and sniping is abundant as well. Cold War is a dense snowy map, and a gust of snow is always present making it difficult to see at times, which mixes up the game a little giving you limited range. If you have the VIP card, or play on PC, I would recommend you try this map pack out if you haven't already, I have been having a blast with it.
But now on to the big news: the Vietnam DLC. It is said to be "A bridge between Battlefield: 1943 and Bad Company 2". It feels different from BC2 in many aspects, even map design. Not sure what the cost will be, but whatever it may be I will be sure to have it. I was just seeing if anyone still played this game, I am finding the slightly slower paced gameplay a relief from Black Ops.
