battlefield cod are mass produced games

Post » Sun Sep 26, 2010 2:13 pm

I really dont see this, yes they make a CoD game every year, no there has been nothing game changing, but Brink has nothing game changing, I payed 72$ for a game that they hyped up to be revolutionary and is little more than a glorified CoD. At least with CoD I can play have fun and know what Im expecting is what I will get. I want them to try to innovate CoD and bring a fresh new twist.

People like the OP complain that all their is is a new campaign, new guns, new perks, new equipment, new maps, new gamemodes, new layout, new spec ops missions. I men what else can they do, its s shooter game, its pretty hard to change to make a military shooter something completely different. Seriously.

Black Ops in all its FAMAS and 74u OP and Ghost OPness and POSness is still better than BRINK, hands down.

And BF is nto mass produced, the last BF title was awile a go, and Bad Company is nto a spin off, its damn good, bette than CoD 4 even which was the peak of the COD series.

That's a really good point, what I feel like is everyone was complaining about how boring WWII was getting in COD, so they made MW, keeping in mind this is only a few years ago, now everyone is saying how stale the MW section is getting.

Yep, no matter what they do people will go "OMG CoD its so dumb, its mass produced, they just want to milk it, DLCs are (insulting and derogatory word of your choice), but I still buy them, what the hell this game svcks."

They revolutionise it and its nto recognisable and its [censored], they try to keep it the same, oh god its S.S.D.D. They could put it in the Stone Age for Christ sake and they would get hated on even though they were trying to be innovateive and make ti fresh and new.

That's what happens when you release the same game annually, people get tired of it.

Honestly the minority of people are tired of it. Most people eat it right up.

Yup, I'm honestly fine with what COD does it changes form year to year more most people around here say.As for the time periods, they don't have a ton of options, they basically did all 3 major western war times that will allow entertaining gameplay.

It's really pisses me off when people assume that COD fans must be some half-brained imbecile who doesn't understand objectives or a good story. I'm a big fan of COD, and I guarantee you that when I play I'm not sitting there, thinking "shoot, kill, profit, repeat". Not all COD fan's are that stupid.

I'm also frustrated by people who think that COD fan's only play CoD. Besides CoD, I play Age of Empires, Civ, Oblivion & Morrowind, BC2, KZ3, and a bunch of others. Just because you play a game that's "innovative" doesn't mean that your suddenly better than "the mainstream customer". Drop the elitist [censored] people, seriously.

Same, I like how IW releases the main part of the series, that sticks to the basics but is well done, while Treyarch tries something a little more innovative. People wanted Pacific Theater, Treyarch released WaW but people still complained. It's not the same company releasing the game every year, so even though two years is short for a game, its not like sports games or anything.

What difference does the setting make? It's the same game in a different skin. If they really want to keep it interesting they need to add some kind of new gameplay mechanic, mix up how the game works a bit, or even better they could actually use a new engine that they didn't drag out of quake or whatever.

lol this thread turned into a COD flame fest. its not a great game, but its ok and constant. and no matter what anyone says, that sells.(don't believe me, just go outside take a drive and count all the fast food places)

COD has become the "Madden" of FPS games

The setting is what so many people complain about, first it was every shooter is just a WWII crapfest, now its every shooter is a modern crapfest. A different setting was demanded, so IW changed it and now people are complaining again. How about you tell me this new gameplay mechanic that would revolutionize shooters? It's a great game (imo) the way it is, and I don't want them to add some half-assed new system that will screw with the game.
