Dang I thought this said Battlefront 3 at first. :sadvaultboy: (sigh)

I still have yet to play Battlefield 2. Guess now is a good time to get it on Steam.

Dat blue and orange contrast.

I'm not big into multiplayer shooters, but if this turns out to look good, I may consider picking it up.

Hasn't it been pretty well known they have been working on BF3 for a while now? The subtext worries me, I thought Bad company was their response to Call of Duty. Hopefully Battlefield 3 is an actual battlefield game, unlike Bad company. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Bad Company 2, but the game play felt very much like Call of Duty. Hopefully they have knifing as a separate weapon instead of just a button.

Battlefield is probably my second favorite game franchise next to TES, so I can't wait for this.

Darn, I thought you said battlezone 3 at first. I wonder how well this will turn out or if it will just mimic Bad Company.

Can't wait to read it. Depending on its release date and whether or not I have money at the time, I'll consider buying it since it's my second-favorite shooter franchise next to Rainbow Six.

New engine! Thats awesome because it will involve new gameplay. I personally don't like the combat in Battlefield; it feels too strict. I can't describe it properly.

I was hoping for that too but that'll probably be either next month or April. Still Battlefield 3 is a good sign. We need something to compete with COD.

But is it a true sequel to BF2? That's the real question.

A new engine you say? Thank god, the FrostBite engine isn't nearly as good looking as some things out as of late.

Maybe the combat will be more solid too, with larger maps maybe?

Too bad it isn't 2143 though... :(

Bad Company 2 is alright, but it's just too much like Call of Duty now for me to move to it as my main shooter. I'm looking at Bulletstorm at the moment, but even then I have my doubts. Perhaps my taste for FPS games has just vanished.

Dang about three people mistaken this for other games. I liked 1943 but it lacked dept so maybe this will be good.

Cool, I'm very curious to see what information they have in store for us. I love BF2, and I've mostly replaced it with BC2 now. As long as it isn't worse than Bad Company 2, this should be a very good game. Can't wait to see the trailer tomorrow.

As long as the PC version supports 64 players on a map, I'm sold.

BF is much better than CoD, sniping has a drop, environments can be destroyed, you can control tanks, big maps. Its amazing, only played BFBC2 so no idea about the originals, but I am getting this.

I liked Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 2 a lot. I don't think they'll be making BF3 too much like Call of Duty. Medal of Honor is supposed to be their Call of Duty clone.

I'm hoping for 72, 96 or 128 max myself, with scalable map sizes.

I'm just hoping the maps are bigger.

The maps were way too small in bad company.
