Hello everyone! not sure i've placed this topic right but heres my question, is Battlespire classed as abandonware or do bethesda still expect people to pay for it? cause i cant find anywhere to buy it and being like i am i dont like downloading things that arent officially allowed to be dowloaded :confused:

I'm pretty sure it's not abandonware.
As for placed to buy it, amazon had sellers for it last I checked. Certainly not cheap, but that's to be expected for old Beth titles.

"Abandonware" isn't a real legal status, anyway; it is just piracy that is unlikely to be objected to. As such, I doubt we're allowed to talk about it here. :shrug:

Totally out of print, though, you probably won't find it anywhere besides eBay.

Sometimes older games ARE officially rereleased for free, like Arena. However I think that's technically considered "freeware". "Abandonware" is slang.

Freeware is ok to download, but no, Battlespire isn't freeware. You need to go to Ebay or some similiar place to buy it.

Abandonware isn't legal. It's basically just old pirated software. And we don't want discussions about that sort of thing here, so this is closed.
