Whoa, thats waaaaaaaay back in ES: Battlespire. And now its gone. As a result of that storyline. I can't even remember whether it was set in the IC but... But I believe there are various mods all over the place. And I don't belive it was mean't to be in the IC.

I believe it was in a pocket dimension of oblivion or some such. Don't quote me on that, though.

I just did... :P Seriously, didn't it come from Oblivion as a result of Mehrunes Dagon trying to destroy Tamriel?

Pocket dimension used by the Imperial Battlemages.

Went boom with Dagon when Dagon went boom.

I would assume the Imperial City, although I am not positive.

At the same place as the Imperial Troopers are trained. Which is to say, nowhere in Cyrodill according to TES IV.

They are trained somewhere in Cyrodiil. Oblivion might not tell you where but probably the Imperial City. Why would they be trained anywhere other than Cyrodiil? Just because there is not an enclave for battlemages in Oblivion does not mean there really isn't one. For instance, there are no bathrooms in Cyrodiil according to Oblivion. Are we to believe that its citizens bathe in the rivers and lakes, and have to leave the walls of the city to go out in the woods to deficate? No.

But isn't possible that Battlespire got rebuilt?

I have no idea if it could ever be rebuilt. I would assume yes, but until then I would just have to assume that Imperial Battlemages are trained somewhere in Cyrodiil. It wouldn't make sense to train them in any other province. The USA does not train its fighter pilots in Canada. Why would The Empire train its legions away from its home province?

The same reason they trained the battlemages in Battlespire previously.

And what might that reason be?

I got no idea. But they've done it before, I wouldn't put it past them to do it again, for whatever reason it is. Perhaps to seperate them from everything else.

True. I think the original Battlespire was in a pocket dimension of Oblivion, which would make more sense than having a Battlespire, in lets say, Hammerfell. So my point being, if there is no more Battlespire in a pocket dimension of Oblivion, then why would the Empire train its troop anywhere outside of Cyrodiil? Also, what advantage did the Battlespire being in Oblivion give to the Empire?

I may be corrected on this, but I believe there was supposed to be a Legion Training Headquarters or something within the IC (I'd speculate outside the Elven Gardens, just to make it symmetric), but was omitted before the release of the game. Kind of like the city of Sutch (and I've also heard it was supposed to be in Sutch, not the IC), which was also omitted.

That all depends on whether you think they created the Battlespire, or they simply found it and populated it.

Since, only Daedric princes can form Oblivion planes. I think...

Doesn't the entire pocket plane collapse because the little destruct button with the note on it gets pushed?

I'd also like to add to my previous comment that the Legion Headquarters I mentioned are for generic Legion Members. Battlemages are a different breed.

IMO, the Battlemages recieved Basic Training at the HQ, but went on to the Battlespire which is said to be "the Imperial Battlemage war college". (http://www.imperial-library.info/tsobs/part01.shtml)

That would make a great mod...

Yes it would, especially if perhaps a certain Dunmer wizard were involved. Perhaps hanging out in some remote location (say the Nirn portal to Battlespire) trying to get the portal reactivated. Say that with the players help (Convincing Ocato to hand over the last runes) they finally lock on to the battlespire ruins and teleport there. Instantly swarmed by many many scamps which that Dunmer Mage has you handle while he attempts to locate the greater welkyind stone (or other mythic power source) which turns on the lights. Finding that in addition to the Scamps and Spider deadra which still inhabit the Citadel, you have a mad lich (that poor guy the battlespire hero abandoned on level 1). Defeating the little girl scamp leader gains you control of the scamps and a peon resource to do grunt work. Same with Spider King (its irony, usually its a spider queen)

Exiting the ruins shows you have to gather they pylon gems while Fyrr directs the scamps to make structural repairs. You venture int the ruins of the Town from I think Level 5 or 6 which have been demolished by the crash of the battlespire. Defeating multiple bosses to obtain the pylon gems you return to the battlespire where you are told to return to Nirn to do some busy work while the deadra repair the Spires.

Then you return to fend off an all out attack by Dagon and in the grand finale Fyrr gets the spires powered up and plummets to Nirn to Squash Sheogoraths 3 headed Island.

But you know thats only if I thought long and hard about it. Would be a cool mod (If I could ever find my BS hintbook which has the levels all mapped out.)

But yeah, the archetecture statics is mostly there you just have to poke around for it and find what works where. Stuff should be all in Vanilia Oblivion, just get creative. (except for the seducers and their Deadric Crescents which will have to be obtained from the mods already out).

Ive toyed with this idea over the last 2 years but I cant script or do quests and thats needed in a mod like this.

Meh. Not for me. I figured Battlespire is definitely gone. You have some good ideas though.

Although what I've always wondered is where the Weyr/Weir Gate is located. And what does it look like (is it the portal at the end of the intro vid)?
