Eh im for either one, though I think the Argonian beast legs in Morrowind made it look like they crapped their pants when they walked. Or had a corn cob shoved where the sun doesn't shine.

Darvin lover ay? So they evolved in Oblivion, then they would evolve even further in Skyrim and have human ears!

They better adapted to their environment. Apparently walking like you have a "corn cob shoved where the sun doesn't shine." doesn't do so well when running from the forces of oblivion. The reason corncob-in-the-[censored] syndrome isn't making its way back in skyrim is the simple fact that there is new thing to run from: dragons.

They don't need to run away from dragons...

I'd hope for at least visibly sharp claws.

Beasts bodies (different leg shape) are a bit more interesting, but they aren't necessary in my opinion. I already liked the look of Argonians in Daggerfall.

Sharp Claws ftw! And beast legs my argonian friend add so much more uniqueness to an already amazing race.

People keep coming back to this lame excuse. All the animations in Morrowind were crap, not just the beast. If they were done today, they would look much better.

They are humanoid. I see nothing wrong with that and like them that way. They still have feline and lizard characteristics, but in the end they are still humanoid species. I don't "need an excuse" for my personal preference. I do not like the Morrowind "beast" race bodies. Not everyone likes the same thing. I personally think the overly animalistic beast race thing, especially the tribal beast race thing, is an overdone cliché. I like that the Argonians and Khajiit do not adhere to those cookie cutter beast race characteristics that so many fantasy settings cling to. The same applies to the Altmer (in rumors) being more sinister than the Dunmer. It puts the "high elves are good and dark elves are bad" cliché into a blender and makes more interesting lore by presenting good and bad sides of both cultures (and most important providing examples that adhere to and some that do not adhere the stereotypes those races have as viewed within the TES world).

That said, they can still have claws with a humanoid body, and that would be very nice. Incorporating their tails and (in the case of Khajiit) ears into their composure/emotional state would be good too. They did this great with the Khajiit ears in Oblivion in my opinion.

I enjoyed the game, Im even replaying it recently (actually as an argonian) so its not like im trying to attack it or anything, I just find it humorous. and yes anything that was done in the past would usually look better these days. Thats a given.

It's just that people keep coming back to the "beast animations look funny in Morrowind" excuse, whenever discussing beast legs.

What I find kind of funny to note is that Morrowind was the only game in the series to feature "beast legs". Arena and Daggerfall had them as even more human than the Oblivion versions.

The bent beast legs and beast claws are part of what makes the beast races unique and appealing and well, beast like. it also adds to the diversity of the game

Well, I found the beast legs in Morrowind too strange. Anatomically inviable, to walk standing.

Sorry, but this is a crappy topic. Originally in DF and Arena, the beast races were very similar to humans. Now they have tails, claws, and feline and reptilian features that look very realistic. Truthfully I'm not sure what you are asking for.
