Beast race solution

How would you like the beast race feet/helmet problem to be solved?

An example of beast race leg armor can be seen here:

Beast races have normal legs since Oblivion, leave them alone, please.

Morrowind enhanced. Oblivion was total let down in this respect.

Just because the devs were lazy making Oblivion doesn't mean Oblivion's faults must go on forever. Beasts with human legs are as FAIL as RPG with level scaling.

i think its a fair assumption that in all the year, the beast races developed their own style of armour upon realising they could not wear man and mer leggings and boots.

they should add in two types
i.e "steel boots"
"steel beast boots"

the steel boots would be the general boot, and the beast boots would be for the beasts, all be it more uncommon to find (perhaps increasing the chance to find when your charecter is a beast?)

I like how beasts had their funky legs in Morrowind. The best way to do it, I think, is to give some kind of beast legs to Khajiits, and a different kind of beast legs to Argonians. Keep all the armor the same, but when being equipped by one of the beasts rather than man or mer, have it use meshes and whatnot that are fitted to the beasts legs/heads.

Human-like feet make more sense for two-legged creatures, but personally i can go either way. If Morrowind style is used, specializied helmets and boots would be appreciated.

i've always thought the beast races were sorta lame, and i know a lot of other people think the same. I really think if the dev's spent many hours perfecting how the beast races look, it will be time that could have been better used to help improve the AI or perhaps make some of the cities that much more impressive.

Well why are you even playing Elder Scrolls then? This is one of the main features of the series!

I liked how unique the beast race were with their weird legs...the animation just needs some work.

Human-like feet make more sense for two-legged creatures

Human legs isn't necessarily the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFQLRUQ4ZuU...it's just what we have.

Yes, beast legs with beast leggings, please. Oh, and can the developers please remember that the Argonians are reptiles and reptiles have no briasts, please? Lizards with briasts are...odd, since lizards don't nurse.

they wouldn't necessarily have to make "steel helmet" and "steel khajiiti helm" or w/e. they could just change how it looks on the khajiits and argonians. But it would be cool to have seperate high level armor for the races :D
ex: "Imperial Legion heavy helmet" or something like "Ranger gloves" or w/e for bosmer.. idk, just ideas

I don't think they would need separate armor at all. Male and female characters from different races use the same armor after all, unless you propose both sixes from every race get their own unique armor...

I say keep it the Oblivion way. If there is not going to be any real advantage for going back to the old legs, keep it the Oblivion way. I actually enjoyed wearing shoes.

Argonians DON'T EVEN EXIST. Who cares if their anatomy aren't like reptiles. While we're at it, let's move the Kahjiits' briasts to their abdominal area like cats have. People, it's a fictional race, they can have boobs on their foreheads for all I care.

I know it is asking too much, but it BGS could develop a different body for each race, so we could see different small detail in body, and skull of each race, and for instance Bosmers were from Dunmers, and Bretons were different from Redguards and so on...

And beast races were different from other races and each other.

And if there were different animation sets for each race, so the grace of an altmer when walking would different from the trotting on orcs, and the grace of bosmers when drawing a bow string could be different from that of an imperial, and so on...

This would be great, but I'm day dreaming yet again.

I'm always living in flash forwards. :)

your kidding right? Cat people and lizard people are one of the "MAIN FEATURES" of the series? I'm pretty sure they are just a minor option that can be ignored during character creation, and also a small percentage of the NPC population hahaha. I dont think their presence is unbearable, but i dont think the devs should spend hours and hours on making some of the races appear more unique, when the minority of the people will be using them. I feel that time should be used towards improving the AI, something that is utterly critical to the game and was quite wacky in Oblivion and Fallout 3 (and every other bethesda game :P)

That would be more realistic, especially if someone wanted to play a "Joan of Arc" type character. At the very least, they could make the female armor accentuate the female form a little less...

Reptiles with briasts is one of my fictional character pet peeves. <_<

beast races with human like legs looked BAD and [censored]

I want morrowind style beast legs with BETTER ANIMATIONS.

yes they have special helmets, yes they can wear leg braces instead of shoes, love the idea, if they make beast races [censored] again I will be pissed.

and yes reptiles lay eggs, they don't briast feed, cats have lots of the later

i would love to see more accurate beast race ideas.

yah and I hope Skyrim is M rated
