I'll admit- I'd like to see some return to the Morrowind style beast races. Not just guys with fur/scales, cat/lizard heads, and tails.

But you'd have to give them some good bonuses to account for whatever negative boosts they obtain. Like in Morrowind, where they couldn't wear full helms, or boots.

But if beast races can't wear boots then they're toes will get frostbite! Especially the cold blooded argonians!!! I say keep beast races the way they were in oblivion just make them look more rugged and wild

I want the Morrowind style Beast races to return. None of this humanoid bull...

Heh. I remember in Solstheim there was an Argonian (Skink-In-Trees-Shade) who wanted shoes because his feet were cold. :P And I think Khajiit would be fine because they have fur on their feet.

Yeah, I prefer it when they can wear boots. Especially in Skyrim.

Skink-In-Trees-Shade was the Master Wizard of the Mages Guild at Wolverine Hall. The one you are thinking of is Basks-In-The-Sun.

It really isn't that difficult to design shoes for beast feet. If it's ever needed, I know a lot of people who specialize in this very thing.

I find humans and differently-colored-humans-with-pointy-ears boring to look at. So yes, I want to see Khajiit and Argonians, and not "people with lizard heads".

I want them to look more unique again.

And the helmet and boots thing honestly makes no sense. In a world with sentient creatures with heads and feet shaped like that, someone would make those articles of clothing/armor for them.

I agree, the more "beastly" they can look the better. It adds some uniqueness to them as opposed to simply being a human with a tail and different head. Something akin to http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/soulcalibur/images/e/ee/AeonSCIVp2.jpg for argonians would be great, though I doubt they'll make them that animalistic.

The only new races I could see them having are the Dwemer for obvious reason and the Falmer.

Otherwise they would be pulling a race out of left field just for the hell of it and I don't think that's how Bethesda does things.

Yeah, all the races in Oblivion were a bit too samey.

Agreed with most of you. I miss the uniqueness of Morrowind beast races. That uniqueness is what originally made me play as argonians in Morrowind and I have stuck with them ever since because of that. To be honest, if I had started Elder Scrolls with oblivion I probably wouldn't like Argonians or Kajiht(or however you spell that).

That looks pretty good. In my opinion, both beast races looked horrible in OB, and not because of their legs. Argonians looked like aliens, those flat faces made them completely lose what was so appealing in their MW counterparts. They were also too bulky. Khajiit had no catlike grace to them, nor did they ever look frightening like a lion, instead having this dumb expression which made me feel ridiculous whenever I played as one, so I switched to Dunmer.

This is really all I ask as well. I don't care whether they can wear helmets or boots, or if their legs are backwards or forward. What I really want is for them to not look like cartoony humans with fake skin. I want the beast races to truly feel beast-like, in the way they move, speak, and in their general anatomy. I want to get a unique experience playing as a beast race. That should be reflected not only in an altered appearance and animations, but in the way I am able to go about doing things. Maybe some factions will have a different view of me based on my race, or at the very least plenty of people in the world should view me differently. Maybe being an Argonian allows me access to a special sanctuary set up by some kind old Argonian settler, so that if I am ever in need of a bed or healing or maybe even a merchant, I can just go there and be welcomed with open arms. But they will only take in Argonians... That will be counterbalanced by some racism from other people/settlements. That sort of things is much more important to me than some of the more trivial matters related to beast races.

I hope there will be Argonians and Khajiits similiar to Morrowind, loved how they looked. Although hopefully with a better animation given how weird their walking was.

And as our Argonian friend Basks-In-The-Sun remarks

"All I ask for is a pair of boots... How hard could it be?" ;)

As much as I love Argonians, I wouldn't see them fit here. Shoes will not help a cold-blooded being in the least at staying warm, because it is not warm to begin with.

Maybe something like, if you play a beast race, they get some extra plus, like.. whatever, you know, something minor. they cant wear boots and full helms, but if they obtain ex. a steel helm or a pair of boots they can go to a blacksmith and "re-build" it for a small fee, and yes it's one of the negatives but they get some minor plusses too. sounds good to me, dont know what you other people think of it though.

Allow them to wear boots. They can still wear fur, leather helmets and cloth hats (hoods,...) but they can't wear metal helmets (or maybe if they were specially designed) ... That would be realistic, and awesome.

I agree I had the same thought, it doesn't make sense that there weren't items specifically made for the beast races in Morrowind, then again, a good portion of the Argonian and Khajiit population in Morrowind were slaves, so that might explain things a bit. but, this is skyrim, so there is no reason why you couldn't take your human boots to a blacksmith and pay to have them made into Argonian boots.

It isnt clear if they really are cold-blooded. Maybe they are both, or change depending on how many times they have licked the tree, or something completely else. There was a discussion in the lore section about this before, im pretty sure no absoloute answer was decided (its usually like that).
