It adds depth! The races don't need to completely balanced, its a one player game. It is more fun to have some with bigger differences in their strengths and weakness imo. Also my stealth characters (who have limited magical abilities) benefit greatly from night eye and water breathing.
Depth, uh-huh. This IS a game that removed the depth of classes and attributes to make it less of a number cruncher. Playability comes before depth, especially when the depth argument is being used on aesthetics.
We'll see how desperate I am when I start up skyrim and make an argonian with morrowind feet.
You're only digging your own grave deeper and deeper... If you had a solid render, I'd believe you, but all you have is a T-Shirt.
no he wrote that the basic advantages of the beast races should more than make up for the loss of a shoe spot, nighteye resistance to poison and jumping better will not make you play in God mod at level 1 its just a cool advantage like:
1- I don't ned breathing potions im and argonian
2- I don't ned a torch im a Kahjit
...
Did any of that ever happen in Oblivion? No. The only parts you were forced to dive under the whole time was a DB quest and the Dreamworld quest. The Dreamworld quest gave you enough water breathing potions that you could only drown if you tried and the DB quest warns you that you're fighting an Argonian that loves to swim, so you should have brought a few water breathing potions or an enchanted item that would give water breathing. Also, I never used my Night-Eye spell, I could see the bad guys in dark locations with no problem at all, and even then, you could always buy or make a Night-Eye ring and that spell was useless. Remember that generating light gives you away? So spamming a Night-Eye spell was a bad idea when your opponents could have a high sneak.
you know, your name is soooo fitting!!! I have to wonder, which came first? The name or the personality?
The personality.
