Wow, that's commendable. I couldn't keep myself from killing Boxcars.

We can't imagine how hard it must have been to suppress the gamer's natural instinct to constantly murder.

I'd go mad trying not to pull the trigger or Louisville Slugger a skull.

I made a run through FO3 like that. It involved some serious tactical reallocation of movement resources (read: fleeing), but I managed, once I get through my evil play through I'll probably try for it again.

Glad to know it's doable.

I'll probably create two characters simultaniosly(?), one for murder everyone and one for pacifist.
I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun playing a pacifist but the killing instinct is in me... I need blood..

Not only is it doable, but it's vastly more supported than in FO3. There are non-lethal weapons, and diplomacy plays a much greater part in the game, with [SPEECH] checks turning up all over the place. :)

Must have hitch hiked with some Braman trains for most of it... There's too many onslaughts of geckos, deathclaws and wasp things which would either kill the player, or anything else which happens to be in the area, including quest objectives. I can't count the number of times that Khan chick by the quarry ended being killed, even when I was pretty much running straight to her trying my best (albeit suicidally on more than one occasion) to annoy everything in the area. Try sprinting to Jacobs town sometime, the train of mobs behind you will kill off everyone who isn't inside.

Is this on the PC, can I cry shenanigans since these stats can be modified through script or console?

There are two types of boxing gloves, cattle prods, and you can make bean-bag ammo for shotguns. I suspect there's something else I can't recall at the moment...

Shotgun with Bean Bag rounds.

Boxing Gloves

there are probably more, a non-lethal stun type ranged energy weapon would be cool.

I forgot all about that bean bag ammo. I just don't know how you can go through the game without killing anything yet only used 48 stimpaks. That's insane

This is my next play through. I'm gonna try and evil non-combat play through though. Not as worried about accidentally killing anything, just wanna see how far a reasonable campaign can get without killing. Gonna have to pump Science, Stealth, Speech, Barter, all pretty quickly. There is a severe lack of non-combat perks though.

I think I'll try this out, except for the creatures part - hunting for survival is not a murder.
