Beatrix Russell

I was just watching The Wire (TV Series) and there's a character named "Beatrice Russell", do you guys think Beatrix name was based on her? It wasn't in the wiki, but I just thought of the character Carlitos Wayne (Carlito's Way) and thought why not? Coincidence or no?

Well no idea what the wire is. If the ghoul char in Vegas resembles the character in this wire thingy then it most likely is.

I think it's a coincidence - the two characters are nothing alike (the one in The Wire is NcNulty's cop girlfriend, right?). 'The Wire' is also a little outside the reference pool of the creators of FNV - they seem to draw mostly on fifties and sixties pop culture (with the occasional Monty Python in Wild Wasteland thrown in).

Well Carlito's Way was 1993 so I figure anything before the game was made could be referenced, and The Wire is pretty much one of if not THE best crime dramas ever made.

I know it seems like a stretch but is this confirmed or even asked anywhere on the net? I mentioned it wasn't in the wiki (like Carlitos Wayne), so I guess no one's seen this connection anywhere? Not rly a big deal I was just curious.. and yea Beatrice is McNulty's girlfriend
