Fraps, MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision. I'd recommend the latter 2 over over Fraps, I reckon Afterburner takes better movies and is infinitely more useful in terms of overclocking and video card statistics.

EVGA, Afterburner are the same thing. They are just reskind versions of RivaTuner.

Not exactly, they use some aspects of RivaTuners core engine but they are diversified from it in a fair few ways.
Agree with the reskinned Afterburner/Prevcision bit, seems AMD users prefer Afterburner and NVIDIA precision tho

I haven't noticed any difference between the two. I have use Percision on my 6990 before.

Think its just more of a branding thing, AMD users are more hesitant to use EVGA since they exclusively provide to NVIDIA wheres MSI is neutral. Haha I'm one of the users who doesn't care about that stuff, so I cant say for sure :P

Have you guys played Crysis 1 or just forgotten how good it looks? Crysis 1 is much higher quality with those type of maps. Maybe you need to work a lot more on your editor skills. :)

What does my editor skills have to do with a texture i clearly placed saying "Replace Me" this is obviously a problem not related to my skills at using the editor. Last night before i left it didnt say that, now this morning when i start working on it, it says it.

Until Cryengine 3 modding has reached this point, I will be sticking to Cryengine 2.

There are a lot of textures in CE3 that are FAR more impressive than in CE2. Now i am talking about stock what comes in the box textures.

Sorry but the textures in Crysis are about 3 times higher resolution then the ones in Crysis 2. Even with the High Res pack.

Like everything, it takes time to make something like that better. I'm just saying it doesn't look any better than Crysis 1 that's all.

Again skills with an editor has nothing to do with little glitches and problems that it has.

Just an FYI all the textures used in that video were stock from the original Crysis.

I didn't say it was. I said as you get better and your skill improves you will be able to make better scenes.

Well CE3 has been scaled down to accommodate consoles so you won't be able to make something as detailed as CE2, unless you use custom assets and a lot of DX11 stuff.

There is still lack of features from CE2:

Soft particles.
No anti-aliasing support , not even in DX11 MSAA deferred rendering.
Volumetric effects like fire, in Crysis 2 the fire is 2D.

Im not sayin CE2 isnt still amazing. There are a lot of aspects that are better than CE3, in fact most of them are. But i think the lightning is better in CE3 as well as SOME of the textures i have seen.
