It Became Reality...

Eve
This was seeming less and less like a dream and more and more like reality every second. These people played Oblivion. Their games had glitched too, and they had found buttons. My dreams were never normal - I'd once had one about my Grandfather taking my entire school to the grocery store - but this one was just...different. And besides, it just didn't look like a dream. There was no haze in my vision, and I was aware, truly aware, of everything. The wind, the warmth of the sun, my hair in my face. And I could see the other people's faces, not just know they were there like so often happened in dreams. Yes, the more I thought about it, the more it was obvious that I was awake. But how?

I snapped out of my thoughts and back into the conversation. "Yeah, and we look really conspicuous, don't we? Someplace there won't be any people. The church would be good...but do you think it's Sundas? 'Cause it might be full of people, especially here in Chorrol, that woman who writes the guides to the cities talked about that a lot. What about...behind the church? That would be more suspicious if we were found, but it would certainly take a lot longer to get found."

Guess I get to start a little late :P sorry.

Ayrton

"Owowowow..." Where the hell did I fall? Last thing I did was... wait... I'm outside. These houses... a wall around the perimeter... Is... is that a statue? As I look at the statue I realize, it's the statue the is at the main gate of Chorrol. But... That's impossible, there's no way I can be in Chorrol. No, it has to be real... A Dunmer! I get up and hold onto my shirt, looking at my arm I can see my digital watch has stopped working. I don't think it would've provided much help. I Stay away from it, there are people around the statue too far for me to make out. I look behinde me and see a church. It might be a good place to go, they do let beggars there right? My clothes are a little Earthly though. Ugh! I slowly, step by step walk towards the church.

When I reach the door I push it open. Empty. "Well at least I didn't have to go through a loading time." I have to laugh at this tought. I walk to the altar, my footsteps echo in the hollow building. "Why am I here?" I ask no one in particular, my voice rings in the silence. Ugh, I hate churches especially big ones. I walk to the benches and sit on one, I have to think out my next course of action. Maybe someone else has arrived, I f I was someone who just arrived in chorrol from earth... I'd go to an empty place. It wasn't Sundas in MY game but it might've veen in theirs so they wouldn't know. But still I'd try the church first, an inn second, a tavern... last, and... that's about it... Huh. I"ll wait here awhile and try to think where to go next if no one shows up within the hour or so... Woops, I left the door open! I get up and proceed to close the door. It creeks slowly and booms loudly like a small explosion when it shuts. Ha, I hope the whole TOWN didn't hear that! Jesus! Whatever. I walk back to the benches and wait.

Dylan

He shrugged in response to the question and said with a nervous laugh, "We aren't technically in Oblivion."

Great, now's the time to point out lore. Idiot.

He went quiet but did break the silence again. "I'm Dylan by the way." he said, addressing the new guy. "This is Flo." he added, pointing to the younger boy though he didn't know why he introduced him. He was probably more than capable of doing so.

I like to think I have pretty good eyesight, especially peripheral vision. I'm pretty sure I saw the other two people walk past before I even finished talking to Dar-Ma, but it was only now that I had noticed they were dressed not unlike me. I looked in their direction just in time to see one move down an alleyway. I followed them and glanced down the alley. I couldn't quite be sure if they were from Earth or not, so I tried to think of some Earthly catch phrase they'd recognize.
Eventually, I thought of one. I turned the corner into the alley and said in my best imperial guard voice, "Stop right there, criminal scum!"

Flo
I startled. “Huh, what the hell?! We didn’t do anything.”
The “guard” was wearing jeans and a black shirt. He seemed a few years older than Dylan. “Just kidding....so what's happening here? Why are we suddenly in Oblivion?”, he said.
I wanted to say something, but Dylan interrupted me: “We aren't technically in Oblivion... I'm Dylan by the way. This is Flo.”
“Hi”, I said with an angry overtone. “And by the way we would also have noticed you without your crappy ‘greeting’.” What a jerk. “And it seems we’re here because our computers went crazy... Whatever, I think we should go to another place, because your ‘workmates’ surely won’t ignore three guys in strange clothes standing there in an alleyway.”

Craig smiled slightly, it seemed Eve was a bit of a 'lore buff', she even knew what a certain NPC said about the church in Chorrol. "I'd agree, albeit, I doubt they'd do anything if were found, all we're doing is wearing different clothes." He stated with a shrug, a little dissapointed about not seeing the inside of the church, he did however, notice that they were being watched and he took a step forward towards the church, hoping the others would follow.

As he did, he took his eyes away from the group and surveyed the surroundings, he'd never really been to Chorrol before, sure he'd gone around it, jumped over the low walls and explored the castle - But he'd never really looked around. He'd spent most of his gaming time in either Leyawiin, Bravil or Anvil and those 3 were definitely his favourite places, albeit - Now this was real, he doubted he would go anywhere near the first two. He was admiring Chorrol though, the large mountains behind the church and the tall trees that dotted the town looked peaceful in contrast to the busy town, it's stone pebbles and wooden roofs giving the whole place a look of modest wealth. His smile widened, he was beginning to enjoy himself and was looking forward to exploring Cyrodiil's moutains and forests.

Natalie
“Moving is the best option we have at the moment,” Natalie said glancing at the guard. “But we should try to get some clothes when we have the chance. Oh, by the way I’m Natalie.”
She was about to start walking towards the church, but then she realised everyone else was at least two years older than her, and wouldn’t take it well if they thought she was bossing them around. This was probably a good time to have a look at the city, before they went to the most out of the way place in the whole city. While most of what she could see was impressive, some of it seemed to be falling into disrepair.

I nodded at Craig. "Yeah we're not doing anything wrong...it's more the fact that we'd have to explain...and..." I lowered my voice, although I wasn't exactly sure why. "I'm not even sure we can explain." I wrinkled my nose and pulled at my shorts, a nervous habit. Natalie introduced herself and I smiled at her while saying "Yes, we'll definitely need new clothes. But we should probably just kind of...mull things over...first." Craig started walking towards the church and I began to follow, motioning for Natalie and Sam to come too.

Alex
Where the heck is this guy...? Alex wondered, slightly irritated, his hands moving in motion with the 'wasd' key commands on his keyboard. Projected on his wide-screen plasma monitor, was an all-familiar game that he played frequently; Oblivion, however in a windowed form as part of his desktop (an image that was probably New York in an apocalyptic state) could be seen. His character, an argonian clad in red-silk robes trotted about, punching mud-crabs and nabbing Nirnroots before the inventory was brought up.
Alex had recently downloaded a bonus-quest revolving around another Argonian NPC that acted like your companion. Ruined-Tail's Tale it was called. The lad was just beginning to enjoy the NPC's presence and then Woosh! He just disappears just like that, leaving his journal with Alex's character and quest to find out where he went, and at a time where Alex needed him the most! He was currently liberating Kvatch, and decided to sleep in the chapel to level up when Ruined-Tail decided to abandon him leaving all the daedra for Alex and the artificially unintelligent Guards to handle.

Clicking over to the items section, Alex tiredly flipped over to the miscellaneous page and reviewed the journal his once-sidekick left him. The clues left in it were relatively vague, something about a blue path that the teen figured was the Blue Road and finding a place to hide that reminded him of his home - Water creasing to the shoreline, and lapping underneath bridges. Alex had already explored all of the major lakes in the game before deciding that Ruin was nowhere near what the journal had said.

Maybe he's in Cheydinhal... He figured mentally, as the Blue Road lead directly to the town. However, when the game resumed the frames seem to skip and freeze momentarily causing Alexander to grumble annoyingly. Then the textures and graphics turned from their natural colors to a funky purple which sent a alarming signal to his head. Immediately, he clicked Esc, not even trying to save his progress as it seemed something was very wrong. He clicked exit, hoping to log out of the game and to find out what happened. But the screen went blank, forcing Alex to restart his PC. However when he looked downward at his computer to restart it manually, he quickly noticed a new button above the power button.

It glowed a faint red, pulsing every few seconds which caused Alex to stare at it in a strange curious look, before pushing without knowing why. Immediately, the monitor change from pitch black to a blinding white that shined onto the human's face. Alex in turn, intensively rose his arm to protect his eyes, however it seemed to do little good as it seemed to shine right into his mind, which started to sting like mad.

A split second later, the light subsided and Alex felt cold, and laying down on something soft. He groaned softly as he moved his arm away from his eyes, only to have the sun blast into his pale-skinned face. He was outside, laying on a small patch on grass. His eyes opened and he slowly sat himself up, only to be greeted by a terrifyingly familiar sight. He wasn't in his room anymore, hell he wasn't even in his house anymore! He was... where was he? Alex looked around, scanning over the wooden house he apparently woke up behind, it looked like some sort of medieval town. He groaned once more as he came to his feet, noticing that he was still wearing his clothes and even the headphones he wore while playing were still snuggle on his head on his computer sent a message to the boy that whatever while he was on Oblivion was partially to blame.

His eyes widened in shock as where he was suddenly hit him; Chorrol. Thats what the layout of this place looked like, he spotted a trio of guards not to far from him all clad in the obvious Chorrol Guard Armor and a Khajiit had briefly walked passed him, giving Alex is awkward glare in the process. Standing in the center of a small chain of houses, the 16-year old looked around frantically. Alright... calm down... You know that this is impossible... theres only a two logical possibilities that would allow something like this to happen. I'm not crazy the last time I checked, or I could be dreaming... he thought, taking a few small steps forward and seeing an archway that lead into the town square. Not knowing why, Alex decided to head there when he realized that he should have probably stay hidden until he figured out why this was happening.

Not actually paying attention where he was heading, Alex proceeded uphill, avoiding the strange looks of the elves and humans threw ta him. He kept walking, unknowingly heading straight for the chapel.

I rolled my eyes when Dylan corrected me, "Oh, look at Mr. Legalist here. Fine, why're we in Tamriel?" Language is based on communication, not arbitrary rules. You'd think people wouldn't be so hard-up about words as long as they knew what someone was talking about.

Flo answered my question, and I replied, "That doesn't make any sense. Look man, I don't care how crazy a computer is, that doesn't give it the ability to make....wormholes in....reality." He said he wanted to go somewhere else, and I looked around, "Um....okay. Got a map? Better yet, got money? Because these inns don't let us stay for free."

The new guy was right. But we had to go somewhere where no one would see us. Not only because we appeared suspicious, but also because the stupid stares of the people got on my nerves.
I stepped out of the alley and looked around, searching for a place to go. After a while I said, “We could go there.” I pointed towards the church. “There’s almost no one at the moment.”
Then I stepped back into the alleyway and waited for a response.

Sam Williams

Craig and Eve started towards the chapel. Sam saw Eve signal for him and Natalie to come as well. After a moment, he began following them. The brief conversation with the others succeeded in distracting him from his hunger, and it returned to him the instant he began walking. I could really use some food right about now, he thought to himself. He remembered his plan to sell his MP3 player and cell phone so he could acquire money. That might not be such a good idea, he reconsidered. It might draw more attention to himself than he wanted. Surely if he attempted to sell such strange devices, the potential buyer would want to know its origin. What would I say then? he wondered. That they were magic devices created by the Aylieds?

That's it... I can't stay here any longer. But where will I go? I need food, and some clothing that's proper in Tamriel. But how...? I get up and prepare to leave, there's no point in staying longer than necessary. I walk over to the chapels doors and sigh. I'll have to make my own way it appears. I push on the doors creating a loud squeaking and imagine myself a little loading time to keep in good humor. I walk out side and look down towards the main gate. I can't leave that way, the gaurds will notice me... Hey the people from earlier are coming this way... Those clothes! They're from Earth! I need to get their attention! But how? Hmmm... Whatever. I'll just call to them! "HE~Y!" I yell loudly to them "The chapel is empty!" Wait that's it! Right now there shouldn't be new of that event, not yet anyway! "Have you heard of the Attack on Chapel Anvil!?" Let's hope that works if nothing else!

Alex
Wandering up and down the streets almost mindlessly, Alex had decided to stop and get his bearings. He knew the town like the back of his and in the game, but know, it just seemed so different. He looked around briefly, scanning over the signs of the multiple shops in the immediate vicinity, some that stood out was Fire and Steel, one of the blacksmiths that his character had visited the least. He preferred Morvayne's Peacekeepers down in Anvil, even though the elven proprietor seemed to hate Alex's character's guts. Another one was Oak and Crosier, yet another place he rarely visited. In the center of the area was the familiar statue of the fallen soldier and the women holding onto him.

''Greetings!'' A voice called behind him enthusiastically, the human in turn started in surprise and nearly fell over as he turned to see an Argonian, more specifiably, Dar-Ma standing behind him with a curious and cheerful expression (from what Alex could tell, Argonian expressions were so hard to read) beamed on him. It took a moment for him to recover, the first person that actually talked to him was an Argonian. Of all people! Sure, Dar-Ma talked to everyone but still, Alex found it a little exciting that he was actually face-to-face with a real person of the root!

''Ummm... Hello...'' He managed to stutter out, his mind was blown by how realistic the scales looked on her, how they reflected in the sun light, it was almost mesmerizing in weird way.

The corners Dar-Ma's mouth creased upwards, showing off the edges of her sharp teeth in what the teenage boy thought was an amused smile. ''You must be new here, I can always tell, it is always a pleasure to meet new people, I'm Dar-Ma.'' Her kind and pleasant tone helped Alex relax as he un-cup the large bass headphones from his head to hear more fluently and let it hang around his neck. ''I'm Alex, pleasure to meet you, Dar-Ma.'' He said, instinctively raising his arm in a hand-shaking gesture. The Argonian girl stared blankly at the humans hand, obviously confused. Alex returned the amused smile she gave him before, of course, he wrongfully assumed that everyone in Tamriel knew what a handshake was.

''It's a handshake...'' Alex explained, ''It's a formal greeting when two people meet, it's customary to shake hands...Not sure why, I guess it just polite or something...'' Dar-Ma's head tilted sideways curiously as she brought up her own scaly hand and gripped Alex's. The feeling of reptilian scales rubbing against the humans skin felt smoother then he had expected, and fairly warm as well. The two shook awkwardly, before Alex pulled his hand back at his side.

''Are you looking for your friends?'' The female lizard asked, her tone of voice seemed different then the bland voice actor in the game. Dar-Ma's voice actually sounded Reptile-like, which just went to prove how realistic this new world was.

''My...my friends...?'' Alex repeated, rubbing the back of his neck, a nervous habit. Dar-Ma nodded, ''Yes, I saw a few others dressed in a similar apparel as you, last I knew they were near the chapel. I talked to one of them too, Scott was his name.'' The now surprised human's eyes widened a bit. He wasn't the only one here? There were others? If he found them, it could help to explain why they were teleported here in the first place.

''Right, yes my friends, they must have gone on without me...'' He stuttered, lying a bit in an attempt to allay any suspicions from Dar-Ma. Before he left however, he thought of something to say to the Argonian lass in a way people in this world would say. ''Thank you, Dar-Ma and have a splendid day...'' He said, nodding politely before heading off towards the Chapel. Whomever these people were that were apparently in the same situation as him, Alex would probably be able to find answer pertaining to why he's here. Then again, they probably knew as much as he did.

OOC: OBJECTION! I never told Dar-Ma my name :P

IC: "Chapel might be a good bet. We could probably get some kind of charity there. Stendarr's the god of forgiveness or generosity or something, I think." I walked with them around the alley and up the path to the Chapel, and wondered to myself if I could even still be an atheist in this place, where gods were actually proven to exist and had real observable effects on the mortal world.

I decided that any responsible creator deity would have thrown our asses out of this realm at the first opportunity, and that it would probably be best if I stayed out of the Nine Divines' way for as long as I could.

OOC: I never agreed to the chapel so the character control was unnecessary but its the cool thing to do I guess to control two others people's characters.

IC:

Dylan

Dylan rolled his eyes at the boys extreme sarcasm though he said nothing. Even he knew that there was a line between being sarcastic and being just plain rude and the boy had just crossed that line with a grand leap.

He nodded in agreement for the chapel idea. "Shouldn't be too busy in there. At least not as busy as it is out here." he commented.

(OOC: I suppose we are going to the chapel then and we are already walking there)

He fiddled with his phone in his pocket and pulled it out, seeing if it actually worked here in Tamriel. Naturally, he had absolutely no signal at all, but the phone itself seemed to work all the same, with the clock and the game options. He turned it off, deciding to save the battery for some reason even though it was fully charged and felt a little sadness in the pit of his stomach. He began to wonder if getting back was even an option anymore and at that thought, he played with the ring on his left hand unconsciously; thinking about his girlfriend who he had been getting ready to call after his gaming session.

Hopefully this is just the most vivid dream I've ever had. He thought with more sadness. The excitement of being in Tamriel had vanished instantly, to be replaced with dread and trepidation about the entire situation and the consequences.

Eve
As we headed towards the chapel, I remembered something kind of important; I was an atheist. So...what now? I knew I hadn't believed in any of the religions on Earth, but did that apply in Tamriel? Was it even close to the same thing? Did it even matter? I knew I believed in the Daedra Lords...but that was like believing in weather. They were there, there was no doubt about it. But the Nine Divines? I looked up at the gorgeous cathedral we were nearing; the Chapel of Stendarr, the god of mercy. I'd always been more kindly disposed towards polytheistic religions; for some reason they seemed more plausible, and way cooler as well. It would be easier and less painful for me to convert to...Nine-Divine-ism...or whatever...then Christianity. And besides...this was Cyrodiil, this was god-damn Oblivion - I wanted to be a part of everything, including the religion.

OOC: And I would write more, but my sister is watching Toy Story and I'm getting distracted, so I'm gonna stop. xD

The other two agreed to go to the chapel, so we began walking over the streets. All the people stared at us again. Don’t look so stupid. Why can’t you just piss off and stare at that silly tree you?’re so pride of?, I thought without saying anything, but everyone could have seen what I thought by looking into my distorted face.

While walking to the chapel I thought if we could just tell some god to send us back. All the gods do exist here, so this shouldn’t be a problem. But when I thought I about it, it came to my mind that the gods here probably don’t have any control over our dimension. Damn. Why are we here then? I thought about that since I realized it can’t be a dream, but there was no answer, all this was just impossible.
Then my eyes fell on the new guy. “Hey, you pseudo guard idio... uhmm, I mean...” Crap. I always say such things when I’m angry. At moments like this one I always wish I was even shier, but I somehow can’t be shy and angry at the same time. “Just forget what I said. You haven’t told us your name yet, have you?”

I followed the others, but I wasn’t really concentrating on where we were going. My head was filled with ideas of how we could survive. Stupid, impossible ones. Join a guild? We didn’t have much in the way of skills. Sell our stuff? How would we explain an MP3 player? And what about when it would run out of charge? “Still, this would have been worse if they had made it according to Lore,” I muttered to myself. The forests in Oblivion were like the forest I had spent a major part of my life in-I knew more about them then I would a jungle.

They must not have heard me... But they're all coming this way... All are deep in thought... I gues I can understand that. We're suddenly in a whole new world, not even, we're in a whole new universe with no way to get home. An error can cause this much damage huh? I don't think I should leave, I won't be able to live in Tamriel alone after all... I lean on the closing chapel door. I'll just wait here for them, I'm sure they'll realize I'm a human from Earth. I take out my piece of Doweling and examine it, I doubt this will help me much here, Unless I manage to trick some kid into buying it... Wait... I don't think there WERE kids in tamriel. Well maybe since this is a real place, now there are. Anyway, I'll just wait for them.

OOC: Ha a whole thing about my thoughts, that's somewhat interesting but seriously, WILL there be kids here?

OOC: Well I would assume that since this is a real place now, there will actually be children. Even if there aren't, the NPCs will presumably have children at some point, depending on how long we're here.

IC: I ignored Flo's comment. He was the same age as my little sister, I didn't care what he thought. "I'm whatever Gotham needs me to be." I replied in a low-pitched growling sort of voice. Then I chuckled to myself and finally gave them an answer that wasn't dumb, "I'm Scott."

Craig noticed that no one was really talking to one another, admitadly - They had all just been 'teleported' away from their homes and dumped into the world of Oblivion, but it was still painfully obvious. "Where are you all from? I know Eve; you're from Texas and I'm from England, where are you two from?" he asked, hoping to spur up some conversation. At the mention of England, he began to get a little homesick, sure, he had dreamt of being stuck in Cyrodiil, but he was very fond of his home, his friends and his family and he certainly didn't like the idea of spending the rest of his life in Cyrodiil without either of the three.

Dylan

Dylan laughed at the boys stupid "Gotham" comment and just shook his head while smiling still. His name turned out to be Scott as much as that helped but Dylan supposed that if he was going to be stuck here he might as well get to know these people. As he tried to break the silence, the words got stuck in his throat like every other time he tried to talk to strangers but his life had taken a sudden change as he realized that this was no dream and he had to learn to adapt.

"So... where are you all from?" he asked casually. "I'm from Winnipeg." he said, pausing as he realized that virtually nobody really knew where that was. When he had gone to Europe, most people seemed to have the impression that the land between Toronto in the east and Vancouver in the west was non-existent and that those two major cities were only a couple hours driving distance away. "It's in the middle of Canada." he added with a nervous chuckle before falling silent again, taking the chance to look around a little as he waited for a response.

OOC: The "People I refer too are Flo's little group heading to the chapel if this clears anything up.

They're close enough to get their attention now. Not many of them seem to be talking, but we have just been takin from all of our homes... Home, Will I ever see it again?
I get off the door to the chapel and walk towards the people. It's now or never I guess. I can't really just run away. But why am I so nerous? These people are all in a siimilar situation as me. Ugh... I walk up to the group walking to the chapel, "He-hello." I stuttered at first "I'm going to guess that by your clothing your in the same situation as I am." It's a stupid way to say "hello" but right now that's all I can manage.

Flo
After a stupid joke about Gotham, the boy told his name: Scott. He really has a dumb style of humor, I thought. I almost said it out loud, but I didn’t want him to hate me even more, although I didn’t like him, too.
Then Dylan asked where we were from. He said he was from Winnipeg, in the middle of Canada. So there are towns in Canada except Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa.
“I’m from a village Baden-Württemberg. It’s the state right in the south-west of Germany”, I answerd when suddenly another boy who was about my age approached us.

“Uhm... hi,” I said quietly, looking around to make sure that no one could hear us, but the church looked quite emty. “Yeah, I guess so.” I answerd his question, now in a normal tone. “I’m Flo, by the way.”, I added, reaching for his hand.
It’s good I’m not the only one of my age in Cyrodiil. Well, it would certainly be better if we weren’t here at all, but I don’t think that will ever happen—maybe we’ll be transported back when we fall asleep. I thought, but that wouldn’t happen. After all I’ve fallen asleep more than 4000 times on Earth without being transported here... [censored]! I decided to stop thinking about that; it just made me angry.
