Ayrton
I reached out and shook Flo's hand cautiously, even if these people were in the same position as me that doesn't mean that they'll like me without knowing me. Huh, He looks sort of irritated... I guess I can understand that but being irritated will not help us get out. Actually I rather like the thought of being here. It's a new adventure and my escape from my old life. "My names Ayrton. And just in case, it's pernounced Air-tin..." I do that to everyone. I smile, I can't help it, following something I did on Earth seems funny somehow. "But in Oblivion I just might fit in with my wierd name." I accidentally say out loud. Woops! Oh well. I turn to the rest of the company, letting go of Flo's hand. "The chapel's empty, It's probably best we go their and plan out our next move. I feel that if this many people are here there are more." I say informitavely "I don't mean to be bossy, but I think we should wait in the chapel for a little while, get to know eachother and see if anyone else shows up." I place my doweling back in it's sheath across my back and stretch my body. I said my thought, now it's up to the group as a whole to decide.

Dylan

"Hey, I was actually doing a project about that region of Germany in school.... before I came here." he said, rather lamely with a sad smile. Now that they were beginning to talk, Dylan's shyness was fast disappearing as it usually did in most conversations with new people. They walked a little longer, and Dylan noticed a little tension between Flo and Scott, like the former didn't seem to like the latter all that much but he didn't comment on it. As long as he stayed friendly with both of them, that was all that mattered.

As they drew closer to the chapel he almost stopped dead in his tracks at what he saw walking towards them. Another boy, possibly younger than himself, and dressed in what couldn't be describes as anything other than Earthly clothes that included a white shirt and black shirts with no distinct markings. But the sight of shorts was enough to let him know tat the boy was yet another in the same situation as Dylan and the other two. The boy introduced himself nervously to the group as Airton or something like that.

He suggested that they all go wait in the chapel which was apparently empty. The entire situation was forcing Dylan to attempt to change his mannerisms and he introduced himself to the new boy. "I'm Dylan, so ya know and we were actually on our way to the chapel because we thought the same thing as you. It would be quieter and out of the way."

He thought about what he said and asked, "How do you figure more people will be here? Have you seen any or are you just guessing?"

Ayrton told me how to pronounce his name for some reason. "Uh....I know how your name is pronounced." I began, "You....just said it a second ago." It just struck me as odd that he'd tell me his name and then re-iterate it a second time as though I hadn't heard it or something.

I introduced myself by name and then said to Dylan, "It's what you'd expect, isn't it? More people from Earth keep showing up, it's natural to assume there's others like us somewhere. Maybe this is happening all over the planet right now, like some weird inverse version of Doomsday Arcade." At that point, I made a mental note to bug The Michaels to make a sequel, if indeed they showed up here with us.

Ayrton

"Uh....I know how your name is pronounced. You....just said it a second ago."
"Sorry, it's just that sometimes people couldn't pernounce it very well back on earth." I say smiling. I actually am happy. No point in getting upset on the first day! "And yes, I am just guessing that other people were teleported here." I prepare a little speach and speak quickly "There are six-point-six billion people on earth, aproximately only one hundred million or so have played Oblivion, half of that would play it on a regular basis and the error that occured was obviously worldwide not just contained in one section. So the chances of the error occuring would be very low, or more people would notice it, with reports to the police like "They were just in their room then they disappeared!" or whatever." I breath in... "So now we have a select group of Oblivion 'devoties' or 'diciples' or whatever you want to call us. We were teleported by an error that could be on any system at anytime so this small of a group..." I wave my arm at the people around us, "Would probably not be the only people to be translocated here." I stop and breath in again. Woops, just ranted! Argh can't do that to often, I get the attention of people around us... "Anyway, the chapel is empty. I'm an athiest, or at least I was, and nothing happend. No sounds, no gods... nothing. Just an empty building." I point at the chapel. "Since your guys's first decision was to come here, don't you think others would? It's a rational choice. But now I have a question, should we take the chance and wait for others, or try to do something else?"

OOC: Wow, went off there... It is REALLY boring here at school, thank god it's almost over :)

Flo
Ayrton shook my hand and told his name. He asked if we should wait for others to come. “I don’t think we’re the only ones here, either. I—and you, too, probably—came here after pressing a button that had never been there till that moment. I don’t know if we’re the only ones who had this error; from our point of view it’s already impossible that we were teleported here, so we can’t know if others were, too...” Smartassing again. I laughed. But when I thought of what Ayrton said, it seemed he was okay about that. I wasn’t sure about the other ones, though. “Also, I got no idea what we could do instead of just staying here and waiting for something to happen.”, I said. My whole body still hurt, I was tired as hell and for one moment I thought I had to puke right on that bench next to me. I decided just to sit down on it and take a huge breath. Could just go to that altar... I said to myself. No, I don’t want to stand up now. So I kept sitting and looked at the others. I had the feeling that they were going to laugh at me, that’s the feeling I get everytime I do something else than the rest. But I really didn’t care now. I was excited and all, but I didn’t think really living in a land with a invasion from a kind of hell going on and only one guy being able to stop it was that great.
Well, the others don’t appear to think so... I thought, after looking into their face. At least it’s quieter than at home. There’s no one screaming around, no one screaming at me for having to go to the bathroom at night and no one waking me up with the words, “Now stand up, it’s lunch time.”
Then I stopped thinking. I just sat there with the feeling that I’d faint any moment.

OOC: OMG I went out of town and I THOUGHT I was going to have internet...but I didn't. This is the first time I've gotten it the whole trip. I'm back on Monday so that's that...but I'm so sorry in the meantime!! If anyone's gone idle because I was gone, tell me and I'll PM them. SO SORRY!!!!!!!!!!

Eve
Craig mentioned home, and I felt a pang in my stomach; could I get home? Was home actually home anymore? I grimaced - no more family, friends...or my piano. Did they have pianos in Cyrodiil? They hadn't needed them for the game, but this was real. Could there be a world without music? If the only music was the drunken singing of that Dark Elf in Cheydinhall, singing about Cliffracer or whatever...I should just drown myself in the Nibenay right now. I shook myself out of my thoughts and looked interestedly at the other two in the party, wondering where they were from and eager for a conversation to distract me from my worries.

OOC: There can be children I suppose, but not at the beginning. The NPCs can have kids...I suppose the charris can too? But at the very beginning, it's just the NPCs we start out with in the game.

At first I thought it was a good idea to wait there, but then I frowned with disappointment and took my rightful place as Buzz Killington, "We can't stay here. Even if there are others, we have no way of knowing when they'll show up, and let's face it, suppose we do find someone else, it's not like we can just ask them for help or money. They'd be no better off than we are right now. What we really need is some cash. I just have no idea how we're supposed to get that with...." I looked down at myself, "....Well, with nothing."

I tried desperately to remember the layout of Chorrol. If this were Morrowind, there'd be like eight places we could go right now to get free money, and while those places were still present in Oblivion, they were fewer and farther between. Money wasn't the only valuable thing nearby that was readily available, however.

"I think the Inn here has some free food lying around." I told them. "But depending on the awareness of the NPCs, we'll probably end up having to distract the innkeeper while we grab stuff off the tables."

"I don't know..." I say to myself "They're diffrent here." I almost couldn't hear the others talk. Flo slumps down onto a bench, hmm... He seems to understand whats going on and be able to keep calm. He is definetly thinking it through, but calmly, almost as if this were normal. Sanity protection. I look at Scott. He made a good point but he seems to be soewhat more... Frantic, unsure of what happened. I don't blame him but we have to stay calm and choose our actions carefully. "I agree with getting money but we should rest first. I don't know aout you guys but I feel like I could fall apart right now." I say as a matter of factly. It's sheer bravado of course, I feel excited, I could run around dancing but I have to talk to Flo, He seems to understand our predicament. I walk over and sit next to Flo, he looks like he could pass-out right now... "Hey, We have to get everyone to rest for a little and plan out our moves."I whisper quietly so only he could hear. "We have an issue though. People can start to freak out. We have to make sure everyone's alright mentally. Make sure everyone feels safe or calm at least. What do you think?" Flo looks calm and collected, if not ill, but looks can be decieving. I'll trust him and make sure I'm right about him. I hope I'm making the right choice, cause last time I checked, Oblivion was being invaded.

I was almost passing out when Ayrton came and sat next to me. “Hey, We have to get everyone to rest for a little and plan out our moves.”, he whispered. It seemed he wanted no one else to hear it. “We have an issue though. People can start to freak out. We have to make sure everyone's alright mentally. Make sure everyone feels safe or calm at least. What do you think?”
Why did you come to me with this? So far I’m the only one who isn’t alright mentally, I thought. “Yeah, well...”
I tried to begin a sentece, but I couldn’t think clearly now and I wasn’t really in the mood to discuss the mentality of some guys I just met with another guy I just met only a few minutes after I’d stood up and teleported to another dimension which was probably currently invaded by demons, so I just managed to say, “Uhm, well, I don’t know. You may be right.”
I turned away from him and closed my eyes. I knew he would start talking to me again in no more than ten seconds, but I couldn’t keep them open anymore.

OOC: Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was preoccupied over the last two weeks. Unfortunately, I broke my left arm while moshing yesterday, so now I'm typing with one hand.

Sam Williams:

"Where are you all from? I know Eve; you're from Texas and I'm from England, where are you two from?" Craig asked Sam and Natalie. I guess it can't really hurt to tell them, though it doesn't really matter here, he thought.

“I'm from Pennsylvania,” Sam replied. What exactly are we going to to here? he wondered to himself. I need to find some way to make a living here, he thought. However, he had no apparent skills which would allow him to do so. He had never touched a bow or a sword in his life before, and his knowledge of hand-to hand combat likely wouldn't serve him very well against armored bandits or marauders, so adventuring was certainly out of the question. He knew nothing of farming and hunting, and he was not much of a laborer. Well, perhaps I can learn some magic, he determined.

Flo simply closed his eyes and laid back. He seems mentally unstable... for now. But people can change and he might just start to calm down a little. The other option is he will do a reversal and become very irritable... I hope he didn't lose to much by being teleported here... So, Flo's fine, but physically tired. Next. I walked to Scott. He's worried, and rightfully so. I guess the thing I'm most worried about with him is... snapping. He seems like he's right on the edge, relying on thievery without considering the other options. I chucked, not many options there were. "Hey." I said calmly. "I think that once we rest your idea might be a good one. We'll be hungry and we'll need food, but we should plan it out a little better..." I don't try to keep quiet like I did with Flo. That was because people are different. Flo looked like he needed it to be quiet, not someone jabbering loudly in his ear. "So," I continued talking to Scott "So, you have any specific way to distract the inn keeper? There's probably enough of us to distract the costumers to, but how? Your plan, What do you think?"

OOC: Just in case my actions in the game seem really weird I'm going to explain it a little right now. Basically I'm just making sure that no one would flip out and start becoming really irrational or angry with the group "In-role" of course. I doubt that we would start flaming each other over the internet now :) Anyway, that's what I'm doing, whether it's weird or not, I do it in real life so I'd do it there. Sorry :)

"I don't know," I replied, "It was just a random thought. I guess I could talk about Oblivion gates or something."

Then I remembered the innkeeper was a khajiit, and said "Wait. That won't work. The innkeeper would know I'm up to something. I'm a good actor, but I probably can't fool a khajiit."

I shrugged, "I guess we could just sit around and get to know eachother. Go over each of our skills, and maybe-....oh!" I smacked myself in the head, "I'm stupid. We can learn magic now. Let's go do that, then kick everyone's ass and get money."

I paused a moment, "Well, not everyone, but enough bandits and such that we can sustain ourselves."

"I guess we could just sit around and get to know eachother. Go over each of our skills, and maybe-....oh!" Scott slapped his head, What an odd person. I couldn't help but smile. "I'm stupid. We can learn magic now. Let's go do that, then kick everyone's ass and get money. Well, not everyone, but enough bandits and such that we can sustain ourselves."
I couldn't help but smirk at him. I know it's rude but... "The only issue with that is, to learn magic costs money. And skill." I thought for a second. Hey. Wait! "Actually, you might be on to something. Doesn't every character start with spells, just simple ones? That's definitely what I would do. I'm not very strong, magic would be my only hope in a fight. So lets do it! I'm willing to learn how to. But... Where should we start?" I though about it. I don't know how magic works in a reality. Maybe we just focus? I mean, our characters never drew lines or spells, thank god, that would be irritating. Hmmm... I have to find out how. "Maybe,"I say to Scott "Maybe we could go to the Mage's guild and ask for an explanation of what magic is. We'll say that we are students who want to start learning but don't know where. We would probably end up in the Mage's guild but I don't mind that..." It's got possibility. But maybe we should wait for a while. I'll just wait and see what they think.

OOC: Okay, so since this has come to a stop, my absence obviously caused some people to go idle, and I'm really really sorry about that again. I'm not sure if there are 2 or 3 groups of people right now - I know whose missing in the group I'm in and I'm gonna PM her. Whose missing in the rest of them? I'll PM them and find out if they're pulling out or not and we can get this going again. Also, let's get the groups to meet up!!

I still sat there on the bench with my eyes closed, but it was getting better. I bet I’m looking real retarded right now, I thought. I decided to stand up again and look if the altar work as it does in the games.
Scott and Ayrton said something about going to the mages guild. “And what should we say to them? ‘Sorry, but we’re from another dimension, so we don’t know how to use the easiest spells everony knows.’...
but... yeah, maybe you’re right, we can’t do anything else.” I said while trying to think of a prayer to Stendarr or something to activate the altar. Now that this is real, does magic even exist? I thought, but then I remembered how I had come here.
“Yeah you’re right. It can’t be that difficult if everone knows how to use it. But I think we should just rest here for a while to and wait if someone else from Earth is going to come.”
--
By the way, how does magic work here, anyway? I think, we should just “imagine” the spells to use them. It would be a bit ridiculous to scream something like “50-PERCENT CHAMELEON ACTIVATE!” if one wants to stay undetected.

OOC: You made me lol. Yes, I think just thinking the spells and moving your hands would be enough, but when we're actually in combat you don't have to write it like that, you can just say that you shot him with Fireball or something, or used a Chameleon spell on yourself, or something. Magic is a very natural thing - it's going to take no effort at all to produce the simplest spells, the characters should be a bit confused on how they did what they did, they will never really understand, it just sort of...happens.

ooc: I am so sorry you guys. I've been hammered down with a lot of things and I haven't been able to find much time for interwebz. That and the fact that I get Tornado warnings every three days and spending nights in the basemant is not fun, let me tell you.

Alex
Wandering aimlessly uphill, Alex sighed and let his shoulders sag as the chapel came into view. Finally, now able to get to the bottom of this, he picked up his pace towards the building. The stone tiles felt cold on his bare-feet, although as strange as it was, it felt... good in a way as everything seemed so unmistakably real. Whatever caused this bizarre phenomenon, Alex was strangely beginning to enjoy it -- He had always pondered about what it would be like living in a video game, and now it's finally happened!

Get a grip on yourself, man. He thought as he walked up the chapel steps and slowly pushed the large door open, almost expecting a loading screen to appear. The large wooden door gave off a (very loud) creaking sound that echoed throughout the church, causing the teen to frown and squint his eyes as he quickly closed the door. Ten minutes in this new plane, and he disrupts a silent church. Brilliant. His back was facing the interior of the building, his hands still on the knob of the door and his eyes were closed briefly as he was embarrassed at himself. Although, in an instant he shrugged it off and turned around, wondering if anyone else had dealt with a similar problem.

Alexander's frown returned as he saw that there was quite a few of these 'others' Dar-Ma alerted him off, several of which that looked a lot older then him. Although there was no... NPC's for the lack of a better word around so the boy relaxed slightly, rubbing his neck as he took a few steps forward. Without knowing what to say, Alex went with the first thing that popped into his head. ''Howdy, y'all...'' He said aloud, performing an awkward wave with his hand that quickly made it's way to his pocket afterwords.

Flo made a funny comment. I couldn't help but laughing, I almost want to try saying that now! The church doors creak and I feel the smile fall off of my face. I spring my hand to my back and bend my legs into a basic fighting position with my right hand on my doweling. I hate being paranoid. I stop my stance.
''Howdy, y'all...'' Uhhh... That's one way to make an entrance. I drop my exterior guard and assume a more friendly stance. I remember clearly how I felt when I came too meet this group.
I smile at this new stranger. "Hello." I say friendly as if I knew him for a while. I walk to him and extend my hand out toward him. The silence of the church no longer felt oppresive. "Welcome to the 'People Who Have Been Teleported From Earth To Tamriel For Reasons They Can't Possibly Understand And Don't Have A Very good Club Name Group'. Or PWHBTFETTFRTCPUADHAVGCNG, as we like to call it. " I sorta make a weird sound for our name. I welcome him and hope I can break a smile.
OOC" I rather like our club name! :)

OOC: Alright, so I PMed Queen of Giant Rats a few days ago but she hasn't responded, so let's just go right ahead and ignore Natalie's existence until a) she comes back or B) she informs me that she's pulled out.

Eve
I nodded at Sam. "So...we need a plan. Or just, we need to talk. Figure out what's going on." I glanced around and realized how creepy it was back here. Why had I wanted to go behind the church? "Urgh, I kinda wish we'd gone inside now. It's creepy back here." I realized with a start that there were ghosts floating around under my feet - there were always ghosts in the chapel undercrofts. I shivered involuntarily. I drove that thought from my mind. "I think the most important thing right now is to figure out how to survive. But after that, I want to find out when it is - like, if the Invasion has happened yet basically - and eventually...if we can ever go home."

Scott

"It's not-" I began saying to Flo, but stopped to say hello to the new arrival, "Oh hey, another one. We should probably just....what was I going to s- oh yeah. It's not like there aren't people in the world who don't know magic. We could say we're farmers, or something. I think the main problem is how will we actually....cast spells? I mean I doubt just pointing my hand at something is going to make a fireball shoot out, or mages everywhere would be arrested just for pointing at things." I glanced up, the chapel seemed a lot bigger than it did in the games. I guess that's just the difference between a 17 inch laptop screen and the full range of human eyesight. "More importantly, do we really need someone to teach us? They had to learn somehow, it's possible that we might just stumble onto certain spells by trying hard enough."

At that thought, I blinked a couple of times. Something was nagging at the back of my mind, and I wasn't quite sure what it was, or where it came from. It seemed like the feeling had been there forever, but at the same time I was sure it hadn't only a second ago. After that, I wasn't sure if I had even done it on purpose or not, but it was like I had reached out with an arm I didn't know I had, and pulled on something I didn't know existed, and probably wasn't really there.

And then I turned invisible.

Well, not strictly invisible, but the shadows seemed to swallow me up, in even the faintest shadows I couldn't be seen, and the chapel was much too dark for me to be visible. I glanced down at my hands. I couldn't even see those. It was strange to look at my feet and see nothing below me.

"I didn't....what the hell is this?" I muttered.

Natalie
I turned to Sam. “I’m also from England. Wiltshire. And...About surviving. Our best bet for fighting would be magic, unless any of you are fencers. But hopefully we won’t have to fight too much. I mean we don’t need to go out into the wilderness. Surely somebody worked out a travel system, right? It would make no sense if the Morrowind mages could teleport people, but the Oblivion ones can’t. So all we need is money for travel and training. How do you guys feel about beggars?”

Pennsylvania, another American. Craig thought, his mind racked his limited geography of America and it's states, he couldn't pin where abouts it was and it bugged him, he was about to ask where it was in relation to the other states, but the girl called Natalie spoke up and said she was from Wiltshire! English? he asked, surprised that he wasn't the only one here, after all, it seemed wherever he went on the internet, there was always a distinct lack of British people compared to those from America. He listened to her talking about Magic, about how they were going to get money for training and travel and he couldn't help but say, "What magic? I mean.. Are you really telling me you can use magic? I think we all need to understand that we're not going to be able to use it, these people," he waved his hands to emphasise the men and women in the town, "were born with magic in their blood, but us? We're from Earth, we've got about as much magic in us as a dead fish!" He assumed.

He knew he had raised his voice, and that it was a stupid thing to do, but the idea of being stranded, with no means of defence, no communication, nothing; frustrated him so much. "I don't know if it's possible for us to use it, but it's going to be expensive, and there's going to be better things to pay for, like - Horses, food, clothing, weapons, tents and camping equipment, alchemy equipment, not fancy lessons in combat or magic." He blushed slightly, he knew he'd made himself out to be a [censored], but it was worth saying, he didn't like telling people how things were, especially when they were so young and prone to crying.

Personally, I thought that real combat, like swords and archery, would be easier to pick up than magic - I mean, at least we'd seen movies and things depicting swordplay and things. Craig seemed to agree with me, but much more severely - he sounded almost hysterical. We didn't agree completely though. "Well I think it's going a bit far to assume we can't do magic. Everyone can here, it wouldn't be...fair." I realized how lame I sounded and tried again. "I mean, you're talking about it like magic's...hereditary or something. But I think it's sort of like an environmental thing, like how on Earth we have the ability to..." What was I saying? The ability to what? Walk? Third time's the charm. "I think we can do magic." I said simply - I wasn't sure why, but I just knew that the world wouldn't be so unkind to us as to leave us in Cyrodiil without that power.

Flo
I was just turning back to the altar when another boy wearing a black t-shirt with a funny pictture on it came in the church: “Howdy, y’all!”
Ayrton greeted him and introduced us as “PWHBTFETTFRTCPUADHAVGCNG” or something. I laughed and wanted to say something, too, but Scott
continued our discussion about magic when he suddenly disappeared. What the hell?! At first I thought we were all being teleported back to Earth now and it somehow made me a bit sad to be torn away from that demon-invaded and violent world, but then I heard his voice again: “I didn't....what the hell is this?”
Yeah, what the hell is this, that’s what I thought, too. How can this... of course: magic!I walked towards him, watching out not to run into him. “Hey, are you still here? What did you do?”
I wondered how he did this. It had to be only his imagination—there wasn’t much else here in this room. I tried to imagine myself being invisible, too. Ayrton must have been right: magic had to be in us all if Scott could just turn invisible on our first day in Tamriel. Then I recalled the new one and turned to him, “Hi, I’m Flo.”
I tried to shake his hand, but my hand was... not invisible, it was more like thin glass. Perfect timing... hey what about my clothes? I looked down on me: the clothes were gone, too. Again it came in my mind how illogical and stupid this was, but I wasn’t angry anymore, I was excited and kind of... happy to be there, in that demon-invaded, violent world. I laughed and reached out for the boy’s hand.
