Become a God?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:58 am

Are there any mods out there that let me join Vivec in godhood? Surely when I have Sunder, Keening and Wraithguard at Lorkhan's heart I should be able to do so. I think it could open a whole new array of possibilities. I could join Vivec in a fight to the death with Dagoth Ur? Or even have my on temple? Or even my own city like Vivec? If not, I may start this project eventually when I have spare time...

Perhaps I could become the new Sotha Sil?

Oh, and I should add that I don't just want to be uber powerful, like http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-god-mod-alternate-game-endingmod I found.

This comes up often enough. The handy search feature is your friend.
Look for "The God Mod". Works well enough.

Ah, pity you didn't mention you wanted a different mod from the outset (grin). Don't care for that one myself. There are a few private ones, but none released yet other than that.
That said, you are a virtual demigod after taking out Dagoth Ur.

but I don't have anything to show for it, apart from a fancy glove, knife and hammer. :(

Besides, I'm not after a mod that makes me powerful. I want to be able to join the Tribunal.. or the Unobunal? I don't know.. But I want in. ^_^

I feel like a traitor to my character's dear friend Voryn in mentioning this, but the Great House Dagoth mod has a couple of different ending options. That would of course involve joining House Dagoth, which you may not want to do but the lovely thing about that mod is that MadGod designed it to allow for different character objectives. You can remain loyal to the Empire and only be pretending to be loyal to Dagoth Ur in order to destroy him, you could simply be out only for yourself or you can be 100% on Dagoth Ur's side.

Spoiler
If you go with the ending where you betray Dagoth Ur and then return Kagrenac's tools to Vivec, you are offered the position of joining the Tribunal as Morrowind's newest living god.

Does anything happen If I choose this? Do I get any special rewards, such as my own city?

At that point in the game you have your own citadel at Red Mountain. If you choose the "betray and destroy Dagoth Ur" option, you become the head of House Dagoth so basically all of the Red Mountain region could be turned into your city if you want. Dagoth Ur is gone and the Heart remains (Warning: your character has to be very very very intelligent to pull this off. And I do mean your character, not you). The entire Red Mountain region is yours to do with as you see fit. But a "ready made city" is not included. Here is where imagination comes into it.

Actually that is how it is in my game, only the difference is my character is entirely on Dagoth Ur's side and they co-rule Morrowind together. The Red Mountain region and the city I am gradually building there is their capital.
