I've been Running Like Hell!

A while ago these guys over at some other website posted a video they parodied that totaled up to the opening scenes of Run Like Hell.

I have to say that video, while hilarious, made me curious. What was this Run Like Hell game they were parodying? Could I still get it? What platform was it on?

So I do some research on the ol amazon.com to see if the game is still in print or at the very least if anyone on it had new copies. I figured out it was on both the xbox (original) and ps2. After discovering it wasn't BC with the 360 and I sold my original xbox, I decided to get the ps2 version to play on my ps3.

It turns out new copies were avalible! I couldn't believe it, for a game released in 2002. So for a super steal of a price, I ordered a copy.

The game arrived 2 days later still with the factory sticker on it!

So I took the week off to be in florida with my girlfriend, then came back and really started playing the game yesterday. This game rocks! The story's fantastic, the gameplay is really challenging.

I admit I had one crash at the beginning of chapter 4 which cost me about half of my progress through chapter 3. Other than that I haven't really had any issues with the game at all.

But here's my favorite part of the game. THE BAWLS VENDING MACHINES! Seeing my favorite beverge in the world will not only exist in the future, but have vending machines, was awe inspiring. Game best played with Bawls.

C'mon create a Run Like Hell forum! Note to my neighbors, those rumblings you heard earlier was not an earthquake, I now have nuclear power.

Well there were a few things I wanted to add to that. I'm only up to the beginning of chapter 6, so please don't spoil the ending yet (even though I think looking up an FAQ already did).

If gamesas still has the rights to Run Like Hell they should do another one on the next gen consoles. It seems like Dead Space was totally treading on your toes, and according to wikipedia you've already got the scripts in a shelf somewhere. Note to my neighbors, those rumblings you heard earlier was not an earthquake, I now have nuclear power.

Okay I just beat the game, really good ending for a horror game if I do say so. So many horror games go for the cheap scare at the end (cough) Dead Space (cough) that are so unneeded and unnecessary they really just make you question the whole point to playing the game in the first place. The ending to this game is much more mental in scare than cheap "monster in the closet".

It scares you in anticipation.

On a side note chapter 6 took me almost all day to get through. Ironically it could not be beaten until I had a cold refreshing Bawls while playing it. Note to my neighbors, those rumblings you heard earlier was not an earthquake, I now have nuclear power.

If you want to get a factory sealed copy at a good price like I did you could try amazon. I don't mean to spam (cough) I'm just trying to help a fellow gamer out. Note to my neighbors, those rumblings you heard earlier was not an earthquake, I now have nuclear power.
