So I've been thinking of getting GoTY Edition (Xbox)

I've heard about lots of problems and glitches with this disc. Is it a good idea to buy it or is it just a bunch of hassle? Would it be more stable to get the DLC from the XBL marketplace or is the GoTY disc fine?

I get quite a few bugs and crashes with a brand new game disk ... I suspect both versions would be equally stable.

Wow. GET GET GET the goty edition!
Ive searched quite a lot for the disc, then found it second hand and bought it online.

Installed the add-ons from the start and never had any huge problems.
A crash once in a while with numerous enemies on the screen (which is normal to happen, as the game itself crashes every now and then).

Then i installed the game itself on the hard-drive itself and it run 3 times as quiet.

Great, thanks for the informative reply. I'll probably end up buying it. It's good to have an actual hard copy of Fallout 3 and all the DLC. I bought the downloadable version of Fallout 3 and the DLC from Xbox LIVE. As far as I've experienced, there's never been any crashes or glitches at all. It's worth it for the disc though. I need it.
