I was introduced to The Elder Scrolls back in 2004 when I was given my first computer. It wasn't a gaming PC; it was just for study. At the first day I bought my first game: Counter-Strike. When I was about to leave the shop, I saw a poster of a dark elf in a bonemold armor. I instantly fell in love with Morrowind. I immediately bought Morrowind, and the rest is history. These pictures were taken back in 2006-2007, my last years to play Morrowind. I was about to set-up a new PC so that I could play Oblivion so I compiled a series of screenshots from Morrowind. This was before the time of graphic-intensive games--no distant lands, no SSAO, no anti-aliasing...my Morrowind back then was almost as pure as vanilla.

(view in a slideshow for easier viewing. Excuse the resolution because I was playing at 800x600 back then)
EDIT:
These are some of the reasons why I sometimes do not prefer distant lands:

Morrowind always gave me the feeling of venturing to the unknown. And this was a good example of it.
