ive enjoyed my times on the fallout NV forums, and now that the game is almost out, its time for me to go, but before i go, i would like to put the idea of a world war 2 military outfit in new vegas up in the threads, what do you guys think? i enjoy RP'ing as a soldier sometimes, but i dislike not having almost any pockets, being covered in plates and cloth with a few straps, so again, what do you guys think?

I think it could be nice, kind of similar to the pre-war spring outfits, casual wear, etc. Only, probably, somewhat more useful in combat issues or something.
So yeah, I think it'd be a cool thing to add to the game-even if I didn't use it a lot once I got something like power armor.

I think your avatar takes me back to a much simpler time...why are you leaving the forum, afraid a maybe reading an accidental spoiler, or are you just gearing up for the upcoming relaese?
I think it would have been a good idea, after all- there were confederate hats in point lookout. If they could survive from a much older war, why not a less antiquated form of clothing. Would the pockets serve a hotkey type function or just allow you to carry more items. Also, would they give you some sort of bonus to your skills, like small or big guns, or maybe a vats bonus?

Ummmm, Small/Big guns have been converged to one skill called guns.

maybe a small increase to your small guns skill and a small AP bonus, or just maybe just agility +1. i couldnt say it would give a strength bonus because just wearing a suit (other than power armor) wouldnt exactly make you able to carry more (i mean not as much as you can fit, i mean before you cant move because of the sheer weight weighing you down.), but it did make soldiers able to move easier and quicker to grab their grenades/ammo/essentials

and im leaving the forum since new vegas is so very near, i need to prepare and i dont wanna chance any kid getting a leaked copy and posting a mega spoiler on maybe a title or something (call me crazy, but it HAS happened to me in the past lol...)

agreed, it could, for instance, have maybe a DT of 5-15 (while combat has the plates making it 32 im guessing, more than likely they changed it with the new armor system), so itd be something that would be good to have in the beginning, and fun around the end (the point where you dont really care what you wear, unless against a powerhouse like say a deathclaw or ect.)

I completely understand man I remember getting half of Mass Effect 2 spoiled on the Bioware boards a week before the game came out. I wasn't really all that mad about it considering I'm one of those folks who can still enjoy the game even knowing certain spoilers but I felt bad for all the people that got some major story stuff completely ruined because some [censored] wants to ruin other people's gaming experiences. :facepalm:

Thats why I'm going to PM someone every day I get on thats in GD and ask if theirs a little _ _ _ _ spoiling it for everyone.
