Behemoths

No more behemoths, thank you very much. Or at most a maximum of 1 at the end of some forgotten distant cave.

Here's a monster idea:

A unique white, huge, deathclaw in caves near Jacobstown. Marcus hires you to kill it.

if they do have them they should have and achievement/trophy called the harder they fall as a reference to Fallout 3's achievement/trophy the bigger they are

The art style has no bearing on canon. You might as well complain that Vault suits aren't skintight latex anymore.

Well you didn't consider what I said afterward. Also, lets be honest, skintight latex vault suits would look pretty ridiculous in a full 3d environment.
What's wrong with having a lore-fitting mutant that is similar in purpose to a behemoth? Or better yet, no ridiculously colossal monster with crap A.I. at all?

Why would they be? It goes againts canon. The east coast FEV mutants do grow in size, the Mariposa mutants on the west do not. Las Vegas is on the west. Though I would love to see them introduce a new substitute for thoses bullet-sponges. Maybe deathclaw mothers?

This please.

A lore-fitting mutant with a Behemoth-like purpose would be most welcome. :) Like I said earlier, if Obsidian could give us their own take on the Behemoth and make it make sense in the context of the west coast (for example, having the occasional insane Nightkin starting to grow larger and more aggressive- the east coast muties have about 100 years on the west coast ones, so having a behemoth-like mutation beginning to emerge could be pretty interesting).

I loved having Behemoths in the game simply as an additional thing to keep me occupied after the storyline had been completed. The capitol building encounter was one of my favorites in the game and I would like to see more of this type of thing in NV (although it would be nice if there was somethhing more to be earned that just the achievment...), but I suppose it wouldn't have to be behemoths...

Long story short, having things like this is the type of this that keeps the game interesting and allows you to play it for hundreds of hours...so I vote yes ;)

I agree. Make 'em smaller if anything. Plus size a weapon up correctly. I always wondered WTF it got such a big fire hydrant. It was the size of my character's body at least! I've been in the fire service for a few years and never seen such a big fire hydrant!!!

It's obvious that Bethesda originally intended the Behemoths to be smaller than they are, based on that fire hydrant as well as the car door shield which is also bigger than any car in the game. The pack on their backs are supposed to be made from shopping carts as well.

More FO3 clinging. Just what I needed today.

To put it short. Hell no. It's completely against canon, we are on the West Coast. Not the East, capiche?

Sorry, all of this FO3 clinging has put me in a bad mood. Please excuse my rudeness

its not just fallout 3 clinging as i said in my description behemoths OR SOMETHING MORE COOL. p.s i know that the west coast mutants are smarter and are from a different strain of the fev virus the point of this poll was to see if people would like to see some other creature in a behemoth form sorry if i didnt word it right

Wasn't it confirmed in an interview that there would be death claws? He warned in a demo if he traveled far enough north from the start point her would encounter them?

Deathclaws, Alpha Deathclaws, and small possibility of Mother Deathclaws...

Everyone keeps forgetting that someone in an interview said that there was something worse than deathclaws to worry about.

I wonder if those Abominations are simply deformed crazy people or some twisted wads of walking flesh that have almost no indication that they were once human... >_> http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/1/14030/678424-smog_2_super.jpg maybe like that? Silent hill was one of the only things I could think of when seeing the word Abomination...

Considered Wanamingos are extinct. I doubt they'd pose much a challenge
