I watched part of it that made it look like the guy became a werewolf because his girlfriend became a lisbian... but then it turned out to be his sister.

I liked the pilot, but I couldn't watch it after they ditched Andrea Riseborough for some cockney after the pilot. I guess we're only allowed a northern character if they're doing heroin or something.

She sounded just like the girls I was at school with, it was almost nostalgic.

It's got Sam Witwer in it, so I guess it's pretty good.

Although I am SERIOUSLY done with vampires.

:yucky:

I saw it yesterday, and it just feels watered down somehow; all the elements are there, but they just don't quite work for me. I'm really not feeling the actors, they sort of ring hollow for me with the exception of the guy who plays Bishop-he's pretty good.

Also, what was up with the "blood harem" scene towards the end of the episode? That was sort of a WTF moment for me. I was actually starting to enjoy the show, then that scene ruined the whole thing.

I guess it might be a decent show if you haven't seen the original... but for me, the original absolutely dwarfs the remake.

A lot of us are. We've been "done" since the Twilight craze started.

Why couldn't they just air the original British series? The same goes for The Office and other series which were "adapted for American audiences". I don't understand, what's there to adapt?

The jokes/humour in it maybe? Since different countries have different senses of humour. I'm just guessing here though.

You call those Vampires? IDK what you watch but if you call those Vampires then I am afraid you don't know what a Vampire is.

Going with what people say with jokes and humor, I find british humor to be loads more funny than American, In America if it isn't vulgar its not funny. Another thing they have to adapt it to is the fact that America is the most close minded country on this planet, almost svcks living here.

Nor is the humour. The british Office and the American Office both take place largely in offices. That's pretty much all the have in common, I liked both shows for different reasons.

The comedy is too smart is my guess.

Isn't the British one the exact same as the American one?

Being human = bad combination of the show Friends and the Twilight saga.

I would say something about how television has lowered its standards to try and cash in on the vampire theme but I truely can not recall the last time I ever assumed that the syfy channel had standards (I miss Scifi)

if you go through movie sites and peruse the sci fi categories you can instantly tell which ones are from the scifi channel. they all have 1 or 2 star ratings. the other tip off is the lame although sometimes humurous titles they give them.

someone mentioned american humor only being crude and vulgar................have they not seen monty python?

I neither like the options of you implying that Python are American, nor that they are crude and vulgar. Spiny Norman, get'im!

But if he was implying that Monty Python was crude and vulgar that would make absolutely no sense. If I understood him correctly, he was trying to prove that American humour is not crude and vulgar. How does pointing out an example of crudeness and vulgarity in non-American humour prove that? It doesn't.

So many shows and films get adapted for American audiences, and they almost always svck as a result. Let The Right One In, totally ruined.

Anyway, don't watch the crappy remake of Being Human. If you get BBC America watch the original instead.
