PC is being worked on last. PS3 and 360 have had two patches

Post » Thu Nov 11, 2010 8:04 pm

did you SEE the bugs they have? Makes our little nano-reset/no melee look like perfect gaming! OUR GUNS DONT DISSAPPEAR!

Yes, but did you see the state of Crysis 2 PC online?
- Any cd-key works, people with cracked game playing.
- Autoaim/snapping, speedhack, noclip, etc.
- Not even needing hacks, people change client side files and change their energy to unlimited and so on.

So... perfect gaming?
Crysis 2 PC's playerbase online is almost ruined already.
And that's what matters for this game's future.

Nope... Im an old school Crysis fan... who played from game one which had TERRIBLE multiplayer. For me, this series is an SP affair so far... and to that end, it's really a good game. BUt comparatively, we have a mode that works.... and another which I may have to dive into for the new sport of hacker-hunting. (THAT sounds like fun)

http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=12870 and at least our saved games load.

Frankly, they need much more help then we do. So quit whining, do what you appearantly can not always do in on the consoles (play SP while MP gets fixed) and be patient.

Whilst I do agree that patience is important, I'd prefer you not try to invalidate our woes through your own short-sightedness. I cannot complete Crysis, the Semper Fi level is broken, impassable, and I have therefore been unable to progress for 1 week. Do not try to measure my broken game against theirs. Thanks.

Who's invalidating anything, oh ye of thin interwebz skin? I just making a point. OUR version was the most completed one. If Crytek wants the game to make it, they need to get it so more people can even play... hense focusing on the most broken ones. I understand that.

Oh, and it's not "our game" or "their game." It's Crysis 2, and I support the idea of more people getting to play a good game.... platform regardless.

Now, to YOUR SPECIFIC issue.... I finished that level yesterday. I expected trouble (and yes, the constant command to move was annoying, but over in 15 seconds... dont get the griping on it), and found none... what is exactly your problem? Perhaps I can help you out?

My first suggestion is to save a few missles... Crysis 1 taught me that... saved those for vehicles exclusively in both games... so I had a few to bump off the attacking drop-ship. Could that be your problem? When it just keeps comming and doing bombing runs, you need to kill it, too.

You might want to not define between console and PC Gamers before you have a tirade at someone about how we're all the same. The use of 'their' is an obvious and legitimate reference to console and PC consumer market, so yes, it is 'their game' and 'our game'. You made the distinction, try sticking to it.

As for the bit about invalidating. Again, you're a contradicting fool. Makes our little nano-reset/no melee look like perfect gaming! OUR GUNS DONT DISSAPPEAR!... implication? "Stop complaining, they have it worse". Again, stick to your distinctions... don't write a sentence suggesting our arguments are overruled by a supposed greater suffering on the console market end if you don't intend to stand by it.

As for the specific problem, it involves the complete lack of spawning of the enemy at the helicopter section, and the through and through glitching of Delta squad just before the 'defend the helicopter' objective. It's a common bug, plenty of people have it, and there are several Youtube videos of it. I don't need help by somebody who doesn't know how to make an argument, I need a patch, and I'm quite happy to wait for it.

From the "Crysis 2 Update Thread [Updated - 1st April":
29/3 - We've been working hard to resolve as many of the post-launch issues as possible including some improvements to our game security. These updates will be made available via automatic-download later this week.
LoL so much for that

PC gamers pay more.

Do you think that Crytek does not make any money, when people pay to get a server up and running?

PS3 do not pay to get online, xbox is $60 a year (gold), a server runs anything from €20-€35 a month depends where from. So what xbox pays in 1 year, we pay in 3 months or less.

Xbox pays, Xbox has way more sales then pc. A small percentage of server profit goes to crytek

I've never in my ENTIRE LIFE seen a patch list so long. Wow. Just think... the PC list is even longer. Disgusting.

Considering this game was originally going to be released back in November last year.
How the hell did this development get so botched?
Crytek had two studios working on this simultaneousness and yet even with all the man hours put into this, there have been many things left out and many problems that should never have occurred.
as I remember, Crytek only used one studio for the original Crysis and Warhead, even with multi-platform [which the editor is capable of exporting the data to appropriate formats] there should still not be this kind of a mess created.

Yeah. I personally would like a refund. Since it wasn't Amazon's fault I feel that Crytek should refund me.

That's because Ubisoft made this game.

Wait, they didn't? CRYTEK MADE THIS GAME?

You realize, that the first console patch was just balance fixes, and the second patch, is the exact same patch that we are recieving today, as well as the balance changes from the first patch, and things that aren't listed in the notes.

It's also easier to patch a console game than a PC game because you don't have to worry about the thousands of randoms called PC HARDWARE CONFLICTS.
