I have Belrand the spellsword as follower, was already above level 30 when he joined.
The only spell he knew was his familiar, at distance he used his hunting bow.
I added him some spell, via console and tomes, but he refused.
After a while he learned oakflesh, whyever, now he had 2 spells,
but none of the schools he already mastered with 100% or at about 80.
Later he even git the sparks, and then used this extensively.
It hardly did any damage at this level, but this he knew he sparkled anything anytime.
He didn't really aim, just somewhere near an enemy, and hen hold it.
If the enemy moved on or i in, it doesn't matter, just sparkle.
(This could take a while, due to +80 mag.reg. and +40mag )
Finally he once did an impressive fireball-assault and a few ice spike, but only once or twice,
because he enjoys sparkling so much obviously.
I remove via console, even reloaded, but he doesn't care.

And he didn't get any healing spells at all, despite he has about 80 skill.

Any suggestions how to solve the problem ?

By the way, my other followers all prefer axes over sword, and their hunting bows over glass or whatever,
exept forzworm fortunatly, because its upgradebel at least.

That boy needs therapy

It's a hard time with sparkle-boy, if he wouldn't know some charming comments i would have fed him to the mudcrabs.
Have him for several levels, think more than 5, as follower, but he behaves like level 1 at level 40...

I really wish they'd allow us to equip whatever we want on our followers.

If not i'm going to exchange this guy for a girl orthat lizard.
I'm really tired of all that sparkling.
Would like to have a magic follower, but don't want to equip another one,
just to see if they are as silly as B..
