Benevolent Leader Trophy: The Seemingly Unattainable.....

Well, darn....! I finally received the Benevolent Leader Trophy, at the Sanctuary Hills Compound. while I was at Oberland Station. Here are my stats:

People: 26 Water: 347 Power: 670 Defense: 778 Happiness: 100 | Vendors: 18 Gardeners: 5 Guards: 3

I spent a lot of time there crafting a crap load of stuff. I noticed that when I crafted the happiness went up a point or two. So, I would craft a little, sleep for twenty-four hours......rinsed and repeated like for four days. When I left for the Oberland Station to report in, that's when I received the trophy. Not that Oberland Station had anything to do with the happiness rising to a hundred. Now my toon, Arianna, can now relax, dress down and play the game. Yahoo!

After i finally got the Benevolent Leader Trophy it stayed at 100% for a couple of in-game days--until I had to go to the Castle and spend a couple of days there fixing the walls, beefing up its defense, creating more beds and remodeling the dining hall. I went back to Sanctuary and their Happiness had dropped to 90%. And, I got to thinking, "why is their happiness dependent upon me?" They are all grown advlts...save for the Longs... and responsible for their own happiness. After all, I gave them a bed and a roof over their heads, job assignments, food to eat and maximized Sanctuary's defenses. The rest should be up to them. Despite what the Bible says, I am not my brother's keeper 24/7, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Besides, I lost loved ones too during and after the Big War. I am in survival mode as well, but I am making the best of it by helping others---for the short term. At least that's how I personally look at it. Still, after a 1000 hours of playtime I am growing exceedingly tired of hearing Garvy's same ole' asinine monologue. I guess I am just the token General of the Minutemen--in name only with no real authority. Every time I see him I envision a target on his forehead. But, the games goes on!
