Best advice you ever got from M'aiq?

I used to get annoyed about the snow in Skyrim coming through walls and stuff, after he said something about it, I actually didn't care any longer. :P

To this day I have never had M'aiq talk to me ever in Oblivion. He's way too fast. I've only seen him run by! M'aiq has told my characters plenty in Skyrim, though. We've only heard the dual-wielding one and a couple others, though.

"You seek the shrine that is no longer there? An interesting concept. Look to the seas to the West. There lies what was once the shrine. Take a deep breath and begin your search."

"M'aiq has heard it is dangerous to be your friend."
Made me feel really bad....

... that there's big Nord Rolf the Uber and an Argonian Im-leet that will join me! And also that I shouldn't levitate too high because there are dragons up there.

The few times I met Maiq in Oblivion, he offered one insult after another about my preference for various game options, and the removal of others. After being called both an idiot and a fool, I was NOT pleased. Nothing he said at the time could be taken as either positive, informative, or funny. Sadly, he ran off before I could find out whether or not he is marked as "essential".

"You would wish to ride upon a beast? There is a way... Go to one of the many silt-strider ports and pay your fee! You wish one for personal use? Bah! Walk if you must; run if you are chased!"
He taught me that the game is more fun if you walk everywhere.
