Best all-around primary weapon?

Post » Thu Dec 30, 2010 8:53 pm

What is your preferred primary weapon setup?

SCAR and Feline setups should be most common, and the SCARAB is probably the best of the automatic weapons.

Sights and scopes improve ranged accuracy but does not help so much when someone is in your face. Lasers really improve spray accuracy but cannot be used with a sights and the beam can give away your position. I have a hard time deciding whether to use sights or lasers, not being able to aim down the sight is a bit annoying, but scoping in to shoot at anything accurately isn't as effective in close quarters.

Lasers actually reduce the recoil, even when ADS.

LMG, SCAR (reflex/extended mag) or (single-shot/assaults cope), Jackal Single-shot, OSG, Feline assault scope/silencer.

Those are the only guns I've found to be worth using in any situation, and they're all about equal. X43 is debatable.

SCAR with reflex sights and DSG-1 with silencer = Pier 17.

Small Enclosed Maps: Single Shot Jackal
Open Maps: Silenced Scarab/ DSG-1

If you get lucky you can dominate skyline with the jackal so much so that crybaby noobs accuse you of hacking and then when you switch maps and only become 'ok' it is 'evidence' that you turned your hacks off cos you got called out, lol

Scarab, minimal recoil even with Rapid Fire, and it kills extremely fast, its the ACR of Crysis 2 but good without Stopping Power :)

No I don't. I've tried. But when recording Crysis 2 my frame rate is terrible in FRAPS. I can easily record games like MW2 and even BC2, but Crysis 2 kills it.

Im personally kind of dissappointed. Everyone runs around with a scar. I kind of wish they would boost the grendel either with range or damage. It is kind of pointless to use it as I have tried to use it several times only to get pwned by a team of scar using noobs. Another thing is nobody is switching up weapons. Everyone uses the same f'in loadout. I find with small maps the marshal with rapid fire is the best all round weapon and in larger maps the scar.

Yeah this is turning out like Black Ops...Everyone using the same class.

No f**king variety. That's why BO got boring yet MW2 was still half fun...in MW2 people used all types of classes, while in Blops it was just a FAMAUG f*ck fest.

Small maps = Marshall + Red Dot
Medium to Larger maps = Scarab + hologram decoy (LOVE IT) + silencer + Red Dot

I honestly love the SCARAB and would use it on small maps as well.

L-Tag is awesome for Crash site. It's also good when your teammates aren't horrible and actually use the visor to mark. You can get so many easy kills.

Scar is great for mid-range and some CQC encounters. Scarab is great all around but has trouble killing grendel or scar users at far-range unless you're using a laser sight. Marshall is awesome to run-and-gun with because you can easily get the jump on people in many ways even if they spot you. Jackal is meh because marshal just trumps it if you can actually aim two shots and don't need to spray a clip to get a kill. Feline is just like the scarab except it can sometimes trump it with mobility and rof. K-volt is actually decent with rapid fire, it's garbage without it. Pistols are fun but usually only good for that or when you run out of ammo. JAW is kind of unreliable with its laser guidance. But the nade is bad ass. C4 is great for CTF or crash site. The DSG-1 is a good sniper, very reliable at killing people if you can aim. Grendle is too but you..need...to...aim. Otherwise it can appear as garbage.

There is a lot of variety if you actually evaluate weapons instead of just crying.(Not you but others were)

My vote is Scarab, Marshall, or DSG-1. All are for different situations / maps. But I've been really focused on getting all the medal dog tags so I could be biased. I've used these guns too much. lol

I'll soon be posting some videos on the Grendel. Currently my favorite weapon! I lolz when I just maneuver bad shooters while I two round burst the fools up close in the head. It's range is great and damage is quite acceptable. I will reveal a few tips and tricks I learned this past couple days putting multiple hours into it.

Check out my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Inconsistentgamer

I only have 1 sniping and 1 with the infamous set up using feline/energy transfer/stealth enhance/mobility enhance but looking to add a couple different ones with grendel and Mk.60

!!! Uploaded the grendel clip !!!

I play mostly pro-mode, so it's the Scarab and DSG-1 for me. I back both up with the AY69, which is a beastly little bastard if you can get used to it. I use the laser sight on the Scarab (plus silencer and extended mags) and the standard sniper scope on the DSG-1 (also plus silencer and extended mags). Both are high mobility stealth builds, because armor mode is basically useless in pro. I rock Nano-recharge on the scarab build (better for crash site assaults) and energy transfer with the sniper rifle if we're playing TIA or CTR.

When playing normal mode, though, it's the marshall all day, and the majestic. Brutal combo if you play the energy transfer/stealth/mobility build

scarab with laser sight is my primary weapon its a force to be recond with plus its nice laser is pritty damn accurate when shooting from the hip so its nice to be able to not haft to aim down the sight all the time.

    - Naked Jackal (Semi-Auto B))
    - Nano Recharge
    - Stealth Enhance +1
    - Mobility Enhance +1

That's all I ever use, and you can tell I'm tired of dying in a couple of shots from in the back.
Shotgunning is so much fun, especially when you perform a triple kill in a single powerjump. :D !
