I'd say go for Daedric. IIRC Daedric is lighter and stronger than Dragonbone.

But whatever concerns armor, you don't even need the higher tiers. Skyrim is made in such a way that you can keep using Iron Armor up until level 253, if you take smithing as a major skill.

With sufficient smithing boosts and armor perks, it's not too hard to hit the armor cap with most armors. Go for what looks good and fitting for your character.

This depends on your definition of "best." If you are going for the highest stats ... then just pick the one with the highest stats. Personally, I could care less about stats and always pick the armor/clothing that suits my current RP.

Daedric has the best base armor rating, but enchantment-wise all armor is the same except perhaps for Stalhrim, which gives a 25% bonus to frost-based enchantments.

Deathbrand is a Dragonborn DLC armor if I recall correctly. You have to find it in Solstheim(spelling?).

Here's info on it: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Deathbrand_Armor

Dragonbone are pretty good, and most of them don't look ridiculous.

Edit: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Weapons_(Skyrim) of all Skyrim weapons. They're separated by type and you can sort them by name, damage, weight, value, etc.

If you're making the most OP character, then you can just use the fortify restoration glitch.

Maybe he want's to make an OP character without cheats.

In that case dragonbone weapons with two enchantments of your choice is probably the best. If you don't wanna use enchanting, one weapon I believe is among the best is Chillrend, which boasts great base damage and some really neat enchantments.

As mentioned above, there's an armor rating cap at like 80% of damage reduction which, according to UESP "occurs at 567 displayed armor rating". With smithing you can make almost any tier armors reach that with a full set.

Just not too sure what satisfaction or challenge can be achieved from a game like Skyrim with a god like character. It's not a multiplayer shoot them up is it.

For a Nord warrior i think Dragonplate armor looks good. So does ebony, Steel plate, Heavy Dawnguard and carved Nordic armor

FOr an elf I like hardened Falmer or Daedric.

stats wise, the Dragonbone weapons are the best weapons in the game hands down, no exceptions.
