You forgot to add Amber and Madness.

I think Ebony is pretty cool looking. I don't like the helmets though.

Elven! http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/5971/oblivion201109131611201.jpg has kept her cuirass for a very long time now.

I voted ebony, but my favorite version of it is Brussef Amelion's silver one. I also like the Blackwood company's version of the steel armor. I guess I like alternate color schemes.

Orcish. I just like the design and overall craftsmanship of it.

Gosh, it depends on the character. All the helmets look like Daedra poop with the possible exception of the madness helm. Boots are another problem; elven look like duck feet and, except for leather, all the rest look like giant Hermin Munster feet thingies – very unladylike. The dwarven cuirass and greaves are kind of nice with their pretty skirting. The elven cuirass is attractive with its elegant line and red sash. Overall, of the vanilla armors on the poll list, I think we like leather best.

Personally, I think the coolest look in armor is the mix-n-match. Depending on the look I'm going for, glass and mithril are nice together. A mix of leather and fur is great too. All the helmets are just way too ugly to even put on the noggin. Since you don't have an "other" option, I didn't vote.

My current character wrinkles her nose at armor, though. Course, she's a mage with the carrying capacity of a gnat.

Like Acadian says, what my characters wear depends on the character.

My own preference, which is never used in the game, is Iron cuirass and Steel greaves, for heavy armor. For light armor I love Leather. Leather might be my favorite Elder Scrolls armor so far.

Garrr. Can't decide. I like iron or glass on females. Leather or steel on males. Then there's all the specific armor sets not mentioned like Blackwood and Imperial armor. And then look at Eradi~Kate's shrouded armor over in my profile pic. That's wicked, too. :flamed:

I like Shrouded Armor the best. Arena gear isn't bad either.

Voted leather. It has the down to earth look that doesn′t draw attention and is the only thing that looks good on my Dunmer :)

interesting. I actually despise leather armor, which is fairly uncommon here i guess. After daedric, my favorite would probably be mithril or ebony

I voted leather. Very few of my characters actually wear one kind of armor. My mages generally wear ordinary clothing, and my stealthy characters wear a mix of light armor and ordinary clothes.

My warrior types usually wear a mix, often enchanted with elemental shield. When your armor skill gets high enough, it doesn't make much difference what you wear, so I'll go for whatever look suits the character. My personal preference is for the look of an iron cuirass combined with leather, with no helmet, or maybe a mage's hood. It's rustic enough to be believable for an adventurer who is scrambling around in dirty old dungeons. Full heavy armor seems out of place for that.

One of my favorite characters was a female Nord barbarian who went through the whole game with only the iron cuirass, leather greaves, and leather boots from the tutorial. She picked up a silver claymore somewhere along the way, and that was the whole package.

Fancy armor is for selling to the merchants, and the gold you get is for buying potions, spells, and ale. :)
