I haven't come across any of these in New Vegas, yet, but I'm sure various power armors take the cake.

there's power armor in this game. you can get 51b or the 43a models i think... and you still need training to use it!

I'm keeping it simple, I'm just using a medium grade combat armor, it has +20 DT when at optimum condition, I also use Boon's beret.

Remnant's power armor is pretty damn good...it's the Fallout 2 Enclave power armor.

Is that the only post-war power armor in the game?

I was hoping that by helping a certain companion very soon I'd get the training. I still have a lot to do in this game and haven't seen any power armour yet. I saw some reinforced Combat armour at the Gun Runners near New Vegas and that was around 25 DT I think. It was much better than the reinforced Leather Armour I have at the moment but it cost 5300 with my current barter skill and was a bit pricy for the moment.

I'm not sure about best, but the reinforced mark-2 is good enough. I went to the light, sat in the chair. Such a hail of bullets I never saw before. It was hard to see the screen for all the bullets. A stimpak, super stimpak and trail mix and soon all was safe and good in the world once more.

1st Recon Hat.
Sunglasses (to look cool).
Sheriff duster.

Things don't ever get close enough to make it worth my while to wear armor.

Also the Mk2. reinforced combat armor looks just silly and clips horribly, the Enclave armor looks stupid also, very underwhelming graphically.

You should try with the Authority glasses, they are slightly bigger and darker than the sun glasses.

My guy doesn't even wear armor, but Rex carries around a suit of Remnants Armor in case I run into a random Deathclaw.

In terms of raw stats, the Remnants PA is the best armor in the game. I find it also looks awesome. If you don't have maxed energy weapons though, the Remnants Tesla/Gannon's family Tesla are almost as good. Less DT than the Remnants PA (more than a T-51b still), but the boost to E-Weaps is pretty good for an Eweap user who isn't an Eweap specialist.

In the combat armor family, Reinforced Mark II is probably the best, though the NCR Ranger Combat Armor is almost as good and also looks awesome. Shame about how hard it is to get and how you look like NCR while wearing it.

NCR fatigues. But seriously though, I find the combat armor series to be the best by far.

Quick Tip to console players who want NCR Ranger Combat Armor:

Camp Forlorn Hope and Ranger Station Delta regularly spawn them on Rangers right next to a large cliff....use your imagination. :whisper:

Replace the hat with Desperado hat, and the glasses with Authority Glasses and then you're ready.

Remnants Power Armor & Helmet. I'm pretty sure its the best armor to wear as far as protection goes. I could be wrong though.
