I've decided on Roger Maxson, his lore is the best.

Really Lyons, the most Charismatic? Both Maxson and Lyons were old men by the time we say them, both did not say much. Maxson started the Brotherhood. He took control of the people at Mariposa. Lead them through a nuclear wasteland in the time just after the bombs to Lost Hills and founded the Brotherhood. Lyons, we don't know about if youth. He lead people to DC where a bunch of them left and formed the Outcast.

Edit: I am not saying Lyons is a bad leader by any means.

Elder Lyons. Not only did he stick with the basic principles of the Brotherhood but he also realized they could do more than just aquire tech and help the helpless. He stuck with that decision even knowing a selfish few (The Outcasts) were opposed to his ideas. Maybe Elder Lyons also knows that for the Brotherhood to strengthen they will need the support of the people.

But he didn't stick to the basic principles.....XD Seems to me he just wasted BoS resources from what little he found.

Elder Lyons because he can adapt tactics and overall he's a better leader than Mcnamra.

They still searched for tech and still kept trying to improve on knowledge from the past. What makes you think he wasted resources?

Lets see, fighting pointless war of attrition vs. Super mutant that as he admitted broke there back and they would have lost if the LW didn't pretty much wipe them out by himself. They recruit wasteland rabble like that guy you see with Sarah for the Behemoth fight that only go out and get themselves killed and lose the tech they give them. they guard pointless projects/people that waste more then they fix like project purity, which again without the help of the LW they would have fail at again. they really haven't found all that much, and most of it that wasn't common the outcast took. They would have came out much better if they avoided fighting and raided the places they needed for tech and knowledge and disappeared before they got locked into protracted fights. Trying to protect the people only makes there small numbers even weaker.

Optimus was the only really big find they had (it doesn't make any sense in the game world anyway)and they got it blown up. They wasted a GECK, to do what dirt filters could do.

Not only that, the Vegas BoS were in a very bad position being seriously outnumbered and squashed between NCR and Legion. They should have fallen back to another BoS base and let the NCR and Legion fight it out. Unfortunately that wasn't an option.

I really do hope in future Fallout games we will be able to fully play as the factions we all enjoy. Maybe in future games the balance of power will start off equal and we will be able to decide which way the scales tip.

See that's where we disagree. You see it as a pointless war of attrition and Lyons saw it as a means to help people that couldn't defend against these mutants. Something a responsible leader would do. He knew he had the manpower and firepower to fight them and couldnt just let them get slaughtered.

So if the LW didn't come along they would have been whipped out...nice leader he would be then eh? Also the "helping the people bit" is exactly why he's such a bad BoS elder. BoS look to there own. they would be much stronger then they are if they would have kept out of local politics.

Lets just agree that we are not going to agree. I like the direction Lyons is taking the Eastern BoS. It seems more realistic rather than isolating themselves and hoarding tech.

its seems that if Elder Loyns wouldn't have waged a war on the supermutants then the supermutants would have gathered enough numbers to attack brotherhood and kill them and would have become new master type army and if the vault dweller hadn't killed the master then supermutants would have eventually killed west cost brotherhood thus being no brotherhood

Top repetitive faction:
#1 BOS
#2 NCR (Shady Sands in FO1 counts IMO)
#3 Enclave

Yeah, they're number 1 all right, just in the wrong chart.

Lyons is the best Elder. He is leading the BOS to becoming saviors while the others got the BOS in the west killed. Well I wouldn't know much of the other elders because I haven't played Fo1 and 2.

then how do you know? XD Maybe by the actions of the Other Elders they let them survive for so long and if they used Lyons methods they would have died right away?

I am positive because we all know the BOS in the west are almost all dead and we know very little on the MW BOS.
